In theory the Series S is the winner for the casual gamer simply due to the price (£250 compared to £470) but it depends on what casual games you mean.

PS5 will still be the console for you if you like games like God of War, Spider-man, etc.
Probably Series S + Game Pass to be fair. I'm just bitter.
Really depends on what kind of games are your bag, though two people in this thread who have owned both have said PS5 is the clear winner.

If you're not bothered about performance and really do want a budget option then Series S and GP is the route to go.
Thanks all. I’ve always been put off my the digital versions but I guess if the difference in money isn’t worth it then worth a look.

Any idea what my PS4 should fetch with two controllers, the box and some games?

They are but in the last generation PS4 out sold XBO 2.3/1. This gen is 1.3/1 that a massive closing of the gap. If Man Utd closed the gap to Man City that much this season I would be delighted.

Pretty grim considering that's Series S and X combined.. The S is half the price it should be selling like a 360.

PlayStation has got 2 skwes as well. The thing is that at the moment Xbox has got no games. What's gonna happen if they start releasing bangers?

Says it all about modern gaming and the audience, FIFA and CoD top sellers, dear me. Awful, shallow games.

Is this even a fight? As console versus threads go this one has got to be one of the most short lived surely?

I love the Switch but let's be fair, Nintendo fans would buy a game where you collect fecal matter if it had Mario on the cover
Itd probably be the best fecal matter collection game ever though.

Was trying to decide what console to buy this Xmas to go with my PS5.... Was leaning towards an Xbox but I'm guessing you all would say a Switch?

Get an Xbox and then get 3 years of game pass with the hack. Should only cost you about £100 for the 3 years

Best value out there
