I'm sure there will be plenty who play competitively online and don't even bother changing those settings from the default. You don't think so? Unless by competitive you only mean serious players.

Interesting literally every review I saw (all the ones posted here) said it was absolutely painless and praised the mobile app for being able to set it up whilst it was downloading the initial update.

Resume from standby is very impressive on Xbox.

Agreed, also surprised by that. Pretty sure MHW loads about the same speed on my ps4 slim from my external SSD
Bakalar said in his review for CNET that the back cap games in ps5 had no noticeable improvement in load speeds, but the next gen game ie Spider-Man loaded unbelievably quickly to the point that quick resume wouldn’t have been needed.
Hang on. So the one thing the PS5 has going for it - the SSD, is actually slower?

Maybe Xbox just handles back compat better which isn't surprising because it's part of their core strategy and not seemingly a bit of an afterthought (it's true)

The Xbox one x runs those games in higher resolutions than the PS4 pro counterpart. PS5 is running those games at a lower resolution, so not surprising it’s keeping a more stable frame rate.
