No it doesn’t. You can support ownership from a Qatari who wants the best for Man Utd as a club and still oppose the human rights issue that exists in the country he’s from.
I would be a lot happier with private Qatari ownership than Qatari state ownership….I just don’t see how anyone can say with any conviction that the son of the Prime Minister, whose technically poorer than Radcliffe by about £4b! Is definitely not getting the money to outright buy the club, clear the debt, build new facilities and invest in the squad with any help from the state.
That just seems beyond fanciful… And if he’s not, where’s he loaning it from? And why is that not worthy of as much scrutiny because he put out a nice statement?
There also seems to be a huge chasm of rationale between the people pouring over Ineos’s financials whilst claiming some fans only want Ratcliffe ‘cos he isn’t foreign, whilst happily ignoring that Jassim‘s personal wealth is on record as being significantly lower… but he can probably find it, cos, I dunno, those Arabs are all magically wealthy I guess? Oh, but also you’re probably racist for assuming the state will help. Make it make sense.
