Cant post links obviously but at least he doesnt have to isolate (Sky tweet says hes in the country already)
Having to wait a week or so does not amount to a sagaPoint is, Ole should have been sacked going into the international break, so that the club would have had two weeks without games to sort this out. Now they have to do it in the middle of a full week of games and create a saga.
There are clubs that are able to announce the sacking of the old and the signing of the new manager on the same day, with the new one starting work on the next day.Having to wait a week or so does not amount to a saga
How would that work with UK immigration laws and covid testing for foreigners entering the country? There are clubs that are able to announce the sacking of the old and the signing of the new manager on the same day, with the new one starting work on the next day.
Just trying to find excuses to bash the club now. There are clubs that are able to announce the sacking of the old and the signing of the new manager on the same day, with the new one starting work on the next day.
Sure there are. So what? There are clubs that are able to announce the sacking of the old and the signing of the new manager on the same day, with the new one starting work on the next day.
Just to note too. Prior to this week the Omicron variant wasn't as prevalent so he wouldn't need a PCR test or possible quarantine. So it would have been quicker. Just to cause a bit more annoyance in youPoint is, Ole should have been sacked going into the international break, so that the club would have had two weeks without games to sort this out. By preparing the deal behind closed doors. As already discussed the timing was bad. Could have been done during Ole's holiday "thanks mate, just stay there, there is a new boss here" (ok that would be a bit classless, but you get my point). The players qould come back from their holiday to meet the new manager and could get to work. How would that work with UK immigration laws and covid testing for foreigners entering the country?
Now there is a lingering uncertainty around the first team. Carrick is managing that well, but it surely does not help the team.Sure there are. So what?
There's no uncertainty. New manager is coming, its just a question when.By preparing the deal behind closed doors. As already discussed the timing was bad. 9/10 of them get 1 story right every so often. Duncan Castles did that just now. That doesn't mean he's not a BS journalist.Having a good source literally makes him more credible than the majority of journalists, that's the point.
9/10 of all them all throw out rumours and stories. The simple fact is though he got this one spot on while nobody else did, and you cannot deny that.
I'm not denying he doesn't have sources. I'm saying a lot of his sources are questionable, which is representative of his success rate as a journalist when it comes to our news. There's no getting lucky with a report like that, he got fed info quite clearly. You can believe whatever you like but that has pushed him up a notch.
Of course it does you can't ignore something he got before anybody else ( and got it spot on ) just because he's said things in the past that hasn't happened.
His hit rate is far better than Castles. Even on well scraped tier rankings on say reddit - https://www.reddit.com/r/reddevils/wiki/transfer-reliability-guide/ you will see Romano as 2 and Castles as tier 5. Just an aggregator and nothing else.Football changes a lot and there's lots of different information available. Would you call Romano reliable? He spouts just as much nonsense as anybody.
The earpiece suggests he's chatting away with someone. I mean, he might be chewing gum or sucking on a gobstopper or a starburst or something. Maybe. But he's more likely talking to Ole about the game and stuff. Fletch is known to be a chatter according to reports. How do we know it wasn't actually just Solskjær?
No one voted for Brexit. If anyone in here moaning about this taking a long time also voted for Brexit, then I blame you
Welcome to Brexit. There is a weighting system in place regarding the League they worked in and the status of the National Team. Also as he is an EU Citizen who has not worked recently in the UK he has to go through the whole visa process. Add in Covid-19 restrictions and it could be next week before he is in place. That explains it then. Even so, I can't think of an example before where a foreign manager has to wait so long. I might be wrong of course having not paid as much attention since it isn't us involved.
Yeah if he's in the country surely he should be able to do what he wants, even if its not official 'work'.Can’t Rangnick just do some sightseeing whilst he awaits his visa?
I’ve heard Carrington is quite popular with tourists.

Damn. I don't want to retract my anger at the club.Sky saying that he could be in the dugout for Thursday still,
I thought some experts on here were saying he cannot enter the country without a working visa as a visitor but apparently he can.Cant post links obviously but at least he doesnt have to isolate (Sky tweet says hes in the country already)
Haha well said, we already made one ex scouser look stupid so come on Ralf let's do it to another one as wellThat was Alan Hansen. But easy to confuse one ex-Liverpool dinosaur for another.
Awesome - another shit performance inbound.Tweet

It's because we're run by businessmen and in the corporate world you go into hiding when you're getting bad press and wait for everything to blow over. That doesn't work in football though.Just feels like we're stuck in this stupid limbo because the club didn't have the foresight to do all this during the break, instead they gave everyone a weeks holiday, a decision that looks more baffling by the day
Yeah the majority of us said at the time that during the last international break was the ideal point to make the managerial changeJust feels like we're stuck in this stupid limbo because the club didn't have the foresight to do all this during the break, instead they gave everyone a weeks holiday, a decision that looks more baffling by the day
Seemed to be Ole's decision.Just feels like we're stuck in this stupid limbo because the club didn't have the foresight to do all this during the break, instead they gave everyone a weeks holiday, a decision that looks more baffling by the day

Like every other team we have faced at OT. Which team hasn't looked like prime Barca?Ffs.
Hope it’s not a complete negative defensive setup that makes Arsenal look like fecking prime Barca.
That would be work, and he needs that permit for that.If he's in the country and waiting on a work permit, then cant he just attend training and start doing this thing behind the scenes?
Very bloody frustrating and getting like the Varane situation in the summer, the way it's going he won't be in official charge until Young Boys next week wherever that's going to be played.RR will have a far bigger hand in Thursdays selections / directives you would think. It's no huge deal, a tad frustrating admittedly.
