Probably knows too much. It's on!His Twitter account seems like it is suspended
He said a deal was agreed but Woodward/the Glazers changed terms to save money. Blaming the Glazers' greed is a pretty good way of weaseling out of admitting you're full of sh*t, I guess.Wait is Daniel Harris the one last summer who was convinced the Sancho deal was a done dealio? he made a lot of noise I seem to remember, forgot all about him!
That figure came from Miguel Delaney. No one else has reported on it, so I wouldn't take it too seriously. If the reports are true, that Varane wants 400 000k a week to sign for United, I think there is a chance this transfer will never happen. From what I´ve seen of him for RM this season, and in the EC as well, he´s done nothing to justify such demands. For me, it´s maximum 250k, and if he´s not happy with that, we should look somewhere else.

No he didn'tHe had a very bad tournament but I will want a player like him for my club.
Yes, I agree. He´s at 150k now, so those numbers looks a bit wild. That figure came from Miguel Delaney. No one else has reported on it, so I wouldn't take it too seriously.
Can we count Winter talking him up on the Stretford Paddock Tier 1 podcastNot even 100 pages yet. Therefore, It’s not a muppet thread yet.
Also not sure we’ve had a really believable link to him yet from someone generally reliable.
So if you had to choose one of the last two because even with sales we aren't getting bothVarane, a DM and a backup RB. We are set.
DM for sure. I'm still of the opinion that DM is the most important position we have to fill, Sancho or not. Much of our struggles in bigger games come from having to play McFred in order to compensate for the job of what one player could do with two. A Fabinho type DM next to Pogba and Bruno would create a balance that opposition wouldn't be able to take advantage of.So if you had to choose one of the last two because even with sales we aren't getting both
The state of this fanbase. Gutted over signing Varane? RidiculousThe most overrated defender in Europe imo.
Will be gutted if we sign him
Oh yeah he did.No he didn't
DM and Dalot would be just fine. Is he coming back this season? So if you had to choose one of the last two because even with sales we aren't getting both
has this come from the Sancho article, because this is huge news.Tweet

No way, CB is more important, Lindelöf doesn't strike fear at all on opposition players, he is usually targeted with long balls, i recall when we played Burnley at home Chris woods was all over him, I Believe Varane & Maguire pair would allow us play Pogba&Fred more often as both Cb are able to deal with 1v1 situations 8/10, Pogba as a deep lying play maker or box to box and Fred as the Distroyer should give us more attacks and some steel when defending, Varane & Maguire pair would give our attacking player the moral to go and score or create goal opportunities without always feeling like anytime we are exposed on a counter we'll conceed a goal i.e Zaha vs Lindelöf at home to Palace last season.DM for sure. I'm still of the opinion that DM is the most important position we have to fill, Sancho or not. MEN journalists like Luckhurst have been saying Varane is our top defensive target for a while now, but I seem to be the only one who takes them seriously.has this come from the Sancho article, because this is huge news.
This is essentially the first legitimate confirmation of our interest? All the rest has come from dodgy Spanish sources and media that was saying Varane wants out and we were interested?
Agreed. If the reports are true, that Varane wants 400 000k a week to sign for United, I think there is a chance this transfer will never happen. Yeah 400k is way too much.Agreed.
He is definitely a quality CB but I still remember his performances when Ramos was not around. Do I want him, yes. But for £400k a week, hell no. I don't want a player who has basically won everything and come to Utd for the sole purpose of a big fat last contract. If history has showed us anything, it's never a good sign.
All reports indicate that he wants a new challenge elsewhere though.Who are all these players that have won everything with Madrid and then looked to cash it in somewhere else and turned to shit.
Are we back to only being able to negotiate one transfer at a time? It’s no secret we have been looking at him.has this come from the Sancho article, because this is huge news.

I know. But I keep reading comments about how it never ends well when players want to leave Madrid to sign big contracts elsewhere. Who are these players? All reports indicate that he wants a new challenge elsewhere though.
400k seems to be the going rate for our transfers this summer. Sancho is supposed to be on 400k too.Agreed.

Actually the french(RMCspor) and spanish main sources(Cadena Ser and Cadena Cope) are more solid than almost anything you will find in football.has this come from the Sancho article, because this is huge news.

https://www.telegraph.co.uk/footbal...-manchester-united-729m-deal-agreed-borussia/The news brings to an end a year-long transfer saga after United refused to meet Dortmund’s £109m valuation of Sancho last summer.
United will now turn their attention to trying to sign a new centre-half, with Real Madrid’s Raphael Varane their priority target. Varane has entered the final 12 months of his contract at Real and would like to pursue a new challenge.
United have been hit hard financially by the coronavirus pandemic and any more signings after a potential centre-half purchase may hinge on the success the club has offloading players and the future of Paul Pogba.
Pogba has entered the final 12 months of his contract at Old Trafford and is being linked with Paris St-Germain and Juventus.
Well, hopefully we are ruthless then, since we need midfielders.Ducker's story

So Sancho and Varane are THE priority signings and anything else after that hinges on squad sales or Pogba.
ALL ABOARD!!! The next saga has commenced.
Sell to buy after Varane/CB is disappointing, thought we'd have shown more intent in the market to get all our targets signed before selling off Pogba and the others.
How? In theory it seems like a perfect match. If we play Varane beside Harry, can somebody please explain where our defensive line will be positioned. To me they seem utterly incompatible.
What do you mean? (on both counts)If we play Varane beside Harry, can somebody please explain where our defensive line will be positioned. To me they seem utterly incompatible.
On the pitch, usually in our own half.If we play Varane beside Harry, can somebody please explain where our defensive line will be positioned. To me they seem utterly incompatible.
Knew reports we would get Varane and Camavinga were too good to be true. Shame, that's a transfer I'd be just as excited about as I was for Sancho. Potential to be one of the best midfielders of his generation imo.Ducker's story

Maguire lacks pace so we typically set up half way between 18 yard line and half way. Varane likes to set up close to half way line. I have never seen him play in a deep lying defence. I’m sure it can be worked out but it is a concern. How? In theory it seems like a perfect match.
Maguire: Monster in the air, leader, good on the ball, calm, slow, plays LCB.
Varane: Speedmonster, good on the ball, good in the air, strong in the tackle, plays RCB.
Vaguire.
isn't some of the reporting around Camavinga that we'd be looking at him as a pogba replacement? Tends to fit with Duckers story?Knew reports we would get Varane and Camavinga were too good to be true. Shame, that's a transfer I'd be just as excited about as I was for Sancho.
