Nobody said that signing one of the world's best CBs was going to be easy. Marquee transfers often take time, just think back to how long the Van Persie and Pogba transfers dragged on for.

Preassure is on them really, if reports are true and Varane is keen to join us I'd have no problem waiting a year to get him for free. It's not like he's the ultimate missing piece stoping us from winning, the squad needs to improve more before we can aim for big titles so i'd have no problem waiting a year to get him.

On the other side Madrid is struggling financially, doesnt have any money for transfers so preassure is on them, rather accept 50M or losing the player for free not really a hard decision.
Exactly. We won’t go anything more than 50m. Or otherwise I am willing to wait for a year to sign him up for free.

Training in Madrid looking happy. It's over he is starting in Spain shut it down
No one's arguing that, it's been the case for years, but he's ending up in Great Britain - back in!!

Sounds like he'll come, I reckon 55m/60m euros will do it which would be an unbelievable price for us. Luckily Real Madrid are in the shit so it puts us in a good position to barter.

For those worried about another team coming in, I doubt that will happen, we already appear to be far into negotiation and look to have convinced the player which is not an easy or speedy thing to do these days with all the red tape.

Is he really that good? I never really watched Madrid games, so I honestly have no opinion on him.
He’s had dips in form but overall he’s been an absolute rolls Royce of a defender. Lightning quick as well.

Prior to him being linked with us I’ve always referred to him as being the perfect partner for Maguire (not that my opinion matters much )

Yeah, I cant see the panic on our side. Wait a year and get in a midfielder with this years Varane money and we are immediately better off.

I expect this'll happen, if it doesn't this summer for some weird reason (us trying to be a bit too clever money wise most likely), I doubt we'd be the ones signing him on a free next year personally.

It’s a weird one and as many say he’s had ups and downs in form. At his best he rivals VVD but that was probably 2-3 years ago but hopefully with a more predictable partner and fulbacks he’ll get back to his best.

Either Way you look at it he has the experience and attributes required to partner Maguire.

Why is this dragging on so much? Surely it’s best to get your signings in early and into a full preseason rather than waiting to the last minute to save a couple of ££££ so that you feel you got a discount……we always seem to drag everything out just long enough for someone else to come in and sign them!

Yes!!! We know United have got money to spend, if they're not ready to go the extra mile on Varane then go buy Ben fecking White, at least he's an Euro finalist that's good at keeping the bench warm or better still wait on the next Duncan Edwards recanation to come out of injury, which I'm sure he'll make another comic face at the sight of conceeding a foolish goal.

The Choice is yours, Cough up the Money or no deal!!
The choice isn't really his, @Acquire Me isn't the one doing the negotiating!

Yeah, like when the Scousers nipped in and stole Sancho and City signed Maguire.

Well it depends on whether we want to buy more players this summer. If we do then everything we save will help us with the next signing. Makes total sense to me and I’m surprised some fans just seem to want it done quickly regardless of the cost involved.

It's Manutd. Our structure does not allow quick deals. Incompetent people operating at the top. All this talk of we are moving fast, different to every summer.

We are 3 weeks from the start of PL and have signed Heaton.

Pretending we haven't signed Sancho seems a bit silly.

Probably went to Valdebebas for a free WiFi to check if Sancho has been announced on twitter.

Wouldn't worry and embarrass myself when this is clearly going in one direction only. A job well done will take the time it takes.

I don't think we fannied around on any of them, did we?

Gill put the kibosh on Ronaldinho, we were priced out of Hazard and didn't buy a house for Gazza's ma.
It was Kenyon that fecked the Ronaldinho deal wasn't it?

I'm sure Sir Alex heavily criticised him in his book for that.

Why do rival fans think “Untied” is a good name to mock us with? At least go with Manure or something. Untied just isn’t remotely offensive.

hopefully get this sorted soon anyway.

Why would a player go into the training ground and leave immediately without training? he's not even injured.
There's only one explanation: he did that to say goodbye to his friends. Done dealio. Next.

Sancho? Isn’t he the most expensive transfer so far this summer by any club? Appreciate we always want more but no other English club has done much in the market so far.

Pretty sure it was Kenyon that fecked Ronaldinho. I'm sure I read something about us beginning negotiations for Robben too, then he fecked off to Chelsea and took the transfer with him.

I think Fergie played a part in Hazard not happening. Massive agent's fees were the issue there, and he was very much opposed to the idea.
