Is he really that good? I never really watched Madrid games, so I honestly have no opinion on him.
He’s had dips in form but overall he’s been an absolute rolls Royce of a defender. Lightning quick as well.

It’s a weird one and as many say he’s had ups and downs in form. At his best he rivals VVD but that was probably 2-3 years ago but hopefully with a more predictable partner and fulbacks he’ll get back to his best.
Either Way you look at it he has the experience and attributes required to partner Maguire.

Why is this dragging on so much? Surely it’s best to get your signings in early and into a full preseason rather than waiting to the last minute to save a couple of ££££ so that you feel you got a discount……we always seem to drag everything out just long enough for someone else to come in and sign them!

I think Fergie played a part in Hazard not happening. Massive agent's fees were the issue there, and he was very much opposed to the idea.
