Not sure i understand your chain of thought here.
""I just feel for people like Marcus Rashford.
They go down the pecking order and he's probably thinking where do I fit in now, said Redknapp.
"Part of the Premier League is having these players but I just feel sorry when someone like Marcus Rashford is going to be thinking 'this is another pathway blocked for me.'
"He might have to go in the end. It doesn't help your confidence. Every time you are training you think 'I'm not going to play on Saturday'"
Rashford and Martial did go down the pecking order
Redknapp claimed that Rashford would be better off going out on loan as his chances would be limited
under Mourinho (given his tendency to play certain players). He was essentially saying that Mourinho would never consistently play him up front. Earlier this season plenty of people agreed that it might be worth loaning him out, as he wasn't progressing and Mourinho was hell bent on playing Lukaku no matter how badly he performed. Rashford has flourished now that there's a fair chance at making the striker position his own, based on performances and not on who player x or y is and who signed them.
Does anyone actually believe that Mourinho would keep Lukaku as a sub and stick to a trio of Rashford, Martial and Lukaku this long ? I mean, we're talking about the manager that was happy to state this about Rashford and Martial:
"For 10 months I get asked 'why always Lukaku? Why always Lukaku? Why always this player?'" Mourinho said.
"'That guy doesn't have a chance to start, the other one is on the bench'. You know why now."
