Err, not really, no. You've spent over £50 million more than us and in that time we've won 13 league titles to your none. You've spent a staggering £250 million more than Arsenal and they've won three titles to your none. Wages me bollocks.

You're way out of touch there. Net spend + wage spend + inflation-adjusted is the "new net spend" metric.
While we spend more on wages than Liverpool as a percentage of turnover ours is 50% while they are closer to 70. It's just that we have a massive turnover compared to theirs and can justify spending more on wages.

I would genuinely expect them to out-bid us on a player (well they did for Bale back in the day) and yet they don't have a sugar daddy that I know of and never achieve much. Whereas we achieve a lot and have around 70,000 people paying to watch us every other week.
