From last night - Lady and the Trump, ha ha. I´d forgotten that Trump had actually sued Bill for saying his father was an orangutang, and showed up in court with his birth certificate to prove it wasn´t true. Sounds presidential.

Besides couple of funny things in the 'new rules' segment, it's the same repetitive stuff with a host acting hysterical and petulant for no particular reason. He is the anti-thesis of Bill O'Reilly with an incessant need to swear.

Every show/comedian has a few good segments/episodes. I don't think sharing a video you liked is an appreciation of his "greatness". I've seen a handful of clips of his, and I don't think I could stand that much of him even though I did like a couple.

I remember reading the discussion in the other thread, think @Grinner made a great point where he said the best bits of Real Time aren't the comedy but where he has a discussion with his panel. Unlike other shows where they have a similar set up, it doesn't come across as fabricated and he does give time to opposing voices, albeit with some occasional shouting thrown in. Stand up and new rules are a bit hit and miss.

I studied a lot of modern American history at university, which obviously revolved around the Cold War. I never really understood the fundamental reason why the country was so terrified and obsessed with communism/socialism. It seems completely irrational to me, yet it was the cause of so many wars, deaths, expense, etc.
