Ted is a funny movie, came out on friday here in Canada. Depends on what comedies you like though, if you like Family guy then you'll love this movie I think.
Four Lions is good. I watched that recently. Also Hot Fuzz, Shaun of the Dead if you've missed those obvious ones. Lock, Stock, and Two Smoking Barrels isn't exactly a comedy.
21 Jump Street is very good but just came out on DVD.

If you are looking for an oldie, then "Oh, you look awful" is one hellava comedy.
The Ladykillers, Cohen Brothers with Tom Hanks.
Hot Fuzz. A surprisingly high number of people haven't watched this or are unaware of its existence.
Stir Crazy.
Airplane or the Naked Gun films.
Shaun of the Dead.
One of the funniest movies I've ever seen, and Quentin Tarantino loves it.

The english Death at a Funeral was terrific
Twintown is good for a laugh but it gets a bit darker later on.The old 50's Ealing comedies are cinema gold,The Ladykillers,The Lavender Hill Mob and Passport to Pimlico amongst others may be a bit dated these days but are very funny in parts.

Surprised nobody has mentioned Planes, Trains and Automobiles. Sometimes corny but still very funny.
Yes! It is a tad corny but I reckon it's mostly genuinely touching.
