Yeah I was hoping for a Zhao v Trump final. Would've been much more competitive I feel.
 
Looks done Williams. Must be demoralising playing against such a younger, fearless and attacking player. I've known how good Zhao is for a while now but I'll be honest and say I don't know how good his safety play is.
 
Williams having a shocker. Such a shame the final hasn’t lived up to the overall quality of the tournament. Turned into a procession for Zhao.
 
It's like they always say, as long as the opponent is 2 frames away, these players feel like they still have a chance. One frame away with such a large gap, it's done.

Bit disingenuous of the pundits putting this all on Williams being burnt out when Zhao has had to play all the way through the qualifiers.
 
Just seen on WhatsApp that a Welsh guy at my snooker club paid £450 each for two tickets to the final session this evening to see his hero Williams play what is likely his last crucial final. Brutal.
 
What’s even funnier that that - we had Davis and Taylor at the club a month or two ago and they did the whole “black ball final” charade. I bet if Zhao wins the it in one frame they will be out doing it again.

When the tournament finally moves to China the BBC should refuse to follow but keep the air time for showing that wonderful match on repeat.
 
Why can't they replay Hendry-Ebdon's final frame from 2002 just for a change.... arguably the last time I feel like everyone watched and was upset at the outcome somehow. Or any of Ebdon vs Ronnie, the zoom in on Ronnie laughing at him always gets me, even though it's exactly what Ebdon wanted.

Can't beat Ebdon, not even Selby comes close to that man.

I was too young to really know snooker at that the time. I’m guessing Steve Davis wasa big name already? And was Taylor an unheard of?

Yeah bring back Ebdon. Need someone to really hate that would actually win. Carter isn’t doing it for me

I can’t see it happening, but can you imagine if Williams reeled off five or six frames on the trot. That would put the frighteners on Zhao and make for fascinating viewing. Nah, can’t see it happening.
