Referees In most the games I have watched are either corrupt or crap tbh. No way mbappe gets taken out like that and receives a yellow card for diving
Apart from booking someone for getting scissor tackled in the oppositions box you meanThe referee tonight was great.
99% sure he wasn't carded.Apart from booking someone for getting scissor tackled in the oppositions box you mean
The Morocco player? I think it was Boufal. He got a card after Hernadez clashed into him99% sure he wasn't carded.
Oh sorry thought you meant Mbappe later in the match.99% sure he wasn't carded.
He did. Poor decision to card him, he didn't dive or intentionally foul Hermandez. The Morocco player? I think it was Boufal. He got a card after Hernadez clashed into him
Yeah and he obviously didn't forget 2 our 3 yellow cards for heavy stomping on Hernandez or Mbappé. Biased much?Apart from booking someone for getting scissor tackled in the oppositions box you mean
I said he didn’t do great and you argue back by listing other mistakes he made ?Yeah and he obviously didn't forget 2 our 3 yellow cards for heavy stomping on Hernandez or Mbappé. Biased much?
When was this? With Hernandez? If it’s that incident the booking was wrong as it was just a collision.Apart from booking someone for getting scissor tackled in the oppositions box you mean
Worst part is that it is not even the most biased call in favour of Argentina this WC, he ne against Poland was even worse! The Argentina penalty was nearly as bad as the one Jota was awarded against palace!
Never in a million years is that a penalty, GK's should just stay on their line and let strikers have the entire goal to aim for, should make the game more exciting with a lot more goals!
Using this logic every defender should just stand and let player go past them. Sometimes you go for a tackle/save/whatever and mistime it or feck up and you foul the opponent. That's what happened. The Argentina penalty was nearly as bad as the one Jota was awarded against palace!

He definitely didn't mistime the tackle if by the time the shot was taken he was rooted with both feet on the ground. He was hardly charging Alvarez by the time he shot, he came out and made himself big and forced him to shoot which is brilliant goalkeeping!Using this logic every defender should just stand and let player go past them. His block meant that Alvarez had no opportunity to follow up on the ball. If Alvarez had the ball and the keeper clattered into him then different story.
So should he move out the way of the forward so he can have a follow up at a mishit shot? It was excellent keeping, he came out, made himself big and forced Alvarez to make a decision which worked as he rushed into a shot that he could not properly execute. His block meant that Alvarez had no opportunity to follow up on the ball. It's a foul.
He should save or get the ball or he puts himself in a position where he can foul the opponent like he did. It's a situation where sometimes the keeper gets or touches the ball and it's great keeping and sometimes it goes wrong and they commit a foul. Just so happens he doesn't get the ball and impedes Alvarez. Penalty. So should he move out the way of the forward so he can have a follow up at a mishit shot? The same way you cannot expect a defender to charge a player down and once the shot has been taken he must move out his way so he can try get the ball afterwards whilst the attacked is running so that he does not run into him?
Nowhere does he "foul" the opponent which is what you seem to be missing. He should save or get the ball or he puts himself in a position where he can foul the opponent like he did. I don't need to be or have been a goalkeeper or understand basics of keeping. He moved towards Alvarez to try and save the ball, he misses the ball and in doing so impedes Alvarez from getting past him. A 'foul' can be given when you impede the opponent. It's pretty simple. Either way you see it differently and what matters is that it was given as a penalty. Also there are keepers who have said it is a penalty so to use the 'you've never been a goalkeeper side and don't understand keeping' doesn't work as an argument.Nowhere does he "foul" the opponent which is what you seem to be missing.
All he does is come out, make himself big and close the angle for the attacker, you would swear he absolutely rushed at Alvarez and clattered straight into him. He doesn't stop Alvarez from taking his shot, he then remains rooted.
You have clearly never been a goal keeper and do not understand the basics of keeping.
Same logic as when an attacker tries to play a 1-2 around a defender, gets the first pass off but because the defender has closed his space he does not have time or space to run around him and he clatters into the defender, not a foul in a million years!
Daniele Orsato. Probably the world's best referee at the moment (and for the last couple of years as well).Hope the Ref of Argentina Croatia is the final ref, he's the one who's made all the right calls this tournament
Just wondering since I heard FIFA rules are different from UEFA. Why don’t WC refs give yellow on tactical fouls sabotaging counters? Have seen it in basically every game.

What's also daft is the refs don't seem to understand the advantage rule.Just wondering since I heard FIFA rules are different from UEFA. Why don’t WC refs give yellow on tactical fouls sabotaging counters? Have seen it in basically every game.
Thanks, interesting approach. I think however I have seen “no yellow” several times where the play did not continue. A free kick was given, but no yellow card. It has been the same in every game, which makes me think it must be either different rules or a specific directive to the refs.Tweet

Yes that very annoying. Was one 2 v 2 counter situation now where the ref blew. What's also daft is the refs don't seem to understand the advantage rule.
2 or 3 times the French player was fouled yet they still had possession in space and the ref still hauled it back.
His second sport is Muay Thai. He takes 3 training sessions a week, 2 with a Personal trainer and 1 in garage. He regurally fights as well. So no, you dont want cross the line with him. As i said in the other thread i spoke with him once or twice. He is that kind of person you dont want to argue withYeah, he was superb. Probably helps that he look physically intimidating. Players less likely to give shit to someone who looks like he could beat them in a fist fight.
He started to train at the age of 15. He was a poor player, played in regional leagues in Poland and Germany.Fantastic performance by the referee in the final
Used to be a player apparently and it showed
10/10
Except for the one small detail of an incorrect penalty call in favour of Argentina.Fantastic performance by the referee in the final

I have no idea how he spotted that dive. Brilliant decision.Fantastic performance by the referee in the final

I think you’re deluded here.People praising him on here are only salty English fans. He was a disaster
Exceptional callI have no idea how he spotted that dive. Brilliant decision.
Who is praising him? On Danish tv the pundits are slating him and they are massive Messi fans.I think you’re deluded here.
He’s getting widely praised. It’s nothing to do with nationality.
Why would we be salty? I'm not sure you know what that word means.People praising him on here are only salty English fans. He was a disaster
