C'mon Southampton.... do something and win today. Let's get an absolute slugfest of a final few games.

We can't really lose in the relegation battle.

Leeds - obvious reasons
Everton - always up there with the most hate filled fans who've tripped us up a number of times
Leicester - stunk it up for years
Forest - massive scattergun spending spree, media lovein.
Southampton - Ward Prowse, plenty of lost points to them the last decade.

Shame West Ham couldn't stay involved.

I want Saints to go down but I agree, 3 points for them here makes it more fun.

Still can’t believe how long Leicester waited with Rodgers, only to replace him with the crack team of Smith/Terry/Shakespeare.

It is strange how the club slowly moved away from what made them so well run. I think this season counts as gross incompetence.

In their last 10 league games Southampton have lost 7 & drawn 3. The draws were at OT,Emirates and Vs spurs. Try making sense of that

Gonna go to the wire. Everton, Leicester and Leeds all likely to drop three points in the next round of matches.

Weird how only 2 seasons ago Leicester were fighting for top 4 (for 2nd consecutive season) and Everton won 59 points under Ancelotti. Now one or even both of these teams could get relegated.

Leicester and Leeds seem to be teams in trouble atm. Don’t expect them to actually get anything vs Liverpool/Newcastle but they’ll have fans behind them at least.

It may be a year where 34 points will be enough to stay up. Forest could very well lose all their remaining games and I can’t see Leeds or Leicester getting more than 4 points.

Much as I'd like to see Leeds relegated, I'm afraid we've made such a bollocks of the champions league race that I'm reduced to hoping they beat Newcastle at the weekend.

Not that I think it's likely, mind.

I get people don't like Leeds because of the rivalry but we've done really well against them over these couple of seasons. It's Leicester (and Southampton but they're done already) that we drop points against usually.

I'm not sure that stunk it for years is quite true.

I'm often quite rude about Forest as my closest friends are Forest fans so it's just ribbing, but how anyone can say "massive scattergun spending spree" followed by "media love-in" is beyond me given that it's the media who has perpetuated this myth of the "massive scattergun spending spree" without looking at the context...

...and that if you go down it will be due to the small scattergun spending spree in January of Ayew, Wood and Shelvey that derailed your season.

p.s. I hope you stay up so that Danilo continues to learn in the prem so we can pick him up as a Casemiro replacement next summer!

The worst aspect of the Prem is the media coverage and the various pundits, I have no idea if this myth is being perpetuated in the media as I don’t partake. It’s more of a stupidity indicator at this point.

As for the “scattergun” January. They were all attempts to address injury issues. Cooper likes a big centre forward hence Wood while Awoniyi was out. We were down to the bare bones in midfield hence Shelvey plus Lingard was injured and Dennis was rubbish, hence Ayew. I’ll agree, all three were terrible signings but it cost the recruitment guy his job.

You can’t have Danilo he’s an integral part of making the left hand side of the team all Brazilian.

Not sure who i'd like to see go down, aside from Leeds obviously. I'm one for liking football traditions and a league without Everton is a bit weird. Also, they haven't just fecked us over in the past either, they beat Arsenal 2-1 in 2002-03 (rooney goal  ) and city in 12/13. ...hopefully City this season too.

Forest hate the scousers and have two European cups which is pretty cool and it's been easy points for us this season, so they can stay.

Traditional doesn’t always mean good. They definitely need to go. Even if it’s just to reset the boardroom. They’ve been shit for years and have survive with end of the season results. They’re as bad as the yo-yo clubs at this point.

Soton are down.

Leeds going down would be absolutely brilliant too.

Forest are really quite forgettable but they deserve a little more time in the league to see what they can do. Unlike Everton who should have long used up their luck.

You keep repeating this as if it's fact and has been occuring for 5ish years when it's only this and last year that it has been the case.

Thanks for posting this

I don't particularly care about Leicester, but it would be weird to see a team who has won the league more recently than us get relegated

Everton will survive, and I always knew they would

Leicester really need that win against Liverpool

He does kind of have a point, you've only finished in the top half of the table once in the last 4 years (and even that was 10th). I've always seen Everton as a big-ish club like Spurs, an ever present in the top division and who has a decent trophy cabinet. No way you should be in this position.

Jesus, those are horrible fixtures for Leicester, Southamton and Leeds. Everton will be a lot happier once City is out the way.

Not really. Survive on end of year results is nonsense aside from last season.

We were in the top 4 with Ancelotti at Christmas the season before. Season before that we were mid table at christmas and then comfortably safe by Feb/March.

It's only this and last season where we have been scrapping until the last game essentially.

It's also football snobbery. The position we are in now, is definitely shit and things we have done have been shit but is a mid-table/top half finish shit? No.

Good point for Leeds. Their last two games are at West Ham - who are more or less safe and will be tired after ECL game and Tottenham at home, where they could get a result as well.

Forest could be in trouble with their remaining fixtures.

Yes - we need at least a point today and preferably 3 if we want to avoid the last day need a win at Palace scenario.
