Everton's last two games being against Wolves and Bournemouth could be crucial. Both should be safe by then so won't have anything to play for.

Everton getting relegated would be... quite something. They've been in the top flight for close to 70 years now I think!

It's over for Southampton.
Leicester/Everton is a massive crunch game, plus Everton then play City (this may be the end for Everton)

Everton - think they made the right choice with Dyche and should stick with him. They took too long to sack Lampard, but their team is just rubbish.

Calvert Lewin is a non-entity, and they have no other goal scorer. They belong in the Championship, to be honest; it might be a positive if they take advantage of it properly. Clear out all the rubbish and reset with signing useful players.

If Everton were to go down, do we think they would come straight back up like Burnley and Newcastle have done in recent years? Or would they be more like a Forrest/Leeds where it takes them nearly 20 years to comeback up?

I’ve heard a few of their fans on talksport saying relegation might be the best thing for them. It seems like a very slippery slope once you go down, teams like Blackburn, Sunderland, Coventry and Sheff Wed have been down there in the wilderness for years.

It will depend on management and recruitment. We had (lots of) crap managers, crap owners and a higher player turnover. Everton will need to bounce back while they still have parachute payments as it gets exponentially harder having to compete with relegated Prem teams with double or triple the budgets of established Champ teams.

I dont think they'll bounce back without pretty heavy surgery. There are a couple of useful players in the mix but hard to see Pickford for instance staying. I think theres loads of mediocre junk that'll be hard to move on and who will be right at home in the championship.
Dyche would be useful in the short term but in terms of building a decent side i think his peak is quite low. Trying to be imaginative and ambitious has ended terribly for them so maybe being a boring, dirty, kick and rush side would suit them.

Everton have pretty serious financial issues. This could be a lot more than just a relegation for them. The very future of the club could be under threat. It is very sad for the supporters, they have been terribly run and bad decision after bad decision is taking a massive toll. So much money wasted.

The worrying thing for them is that they don’t even have saleable assets. Some older heads, some good pros, but the days of getting 40-50 million for Calwert-Lewin are well gone.

A team might punt on Onana for decent money, but that’s about it.

Looks like Liverpool might have to work harder to find an extra 6 points next season since Everton might not be around to hand it to them. Good riddance.

I think 36 points will be safe.

Wham will survive.

Southampton gone agreed.
Hard to see where Everton pick up 9 points.
So they go too.
Hopefully Leicester join them but could be either one of them Leeds or Forest

On current form and looking at the squads, I don’t have confidence in Everton beating Wolves or Bournemouth, or drawing with Brighton.

Very ambitious.

I'd see it as

Leicester- 1pt
Brighton-0pt
City -0 pt
Wolves - 1pt
Bournemouth- 3 pts

Doomed
Yeah, I know. But it's Everton.

They're the turd that just won't flush.

Wolves and Bournemouth will be in summer holiday mode. 2 sides guaranteed safety with nothing to play for in the last 2 games, exactly what you want.

I think they can win both.

That’s a good point. Doesn’t always work that way though. Some teams can be brilliant when playing without pressure.

That's why I like the last few weeks of the season, some games there's nothing on the line and teams just go out and play.

However Bournemouth and Wolves will probably have nothing to play for and Everton will be hoping that they'll be on the beach already.

Yeah I agree, teams fighting for their lives combined with relaxed teams and the ones battling for the title or top 4 sometimes makes the last rounds double interesting.

They don't have any real financial issues do they? Mainly because they have a wealthy owner underwriting everything.

They do have FFP issues but that's hardly an existential threat.

Not sure about West Ham. Likely they go pointless for the next 3, then it's 2 huge games to round off the season when their heads could be down.

I would fancy them to beat Leeds at home in their penultimate game if I had to call it but wouldn't want to stake much on it.

Think it's down to the bottom five now. Can't see anybody else getting dragged into it. Maybe West Ham, but they'd have to lose every remaining game (which isn't impossible, given their fixtures).

None of the bottom 5 teams are getting above West Ham who will be safe with 2 more points for the most part.

Actually think no one in the bottom 3 will break 34 points if I'm honest.
Leeds are gonna be lucky to get another point.

Southampton, Forest and Leeds are my picks now. Leeds seem to be getting thrashed weekly and Forest are just so poor.

Leeds fixtures should give Everton and Leicester the boost they need.
