Now Villa hold the ball for the first time in the 2nd half, down the left and back out, passing around the middle then back down the left and out for a thrown.

Joshua King comes on for Petrucci, 442 now I imagine. Let's see if this switch in formation causes us any trouble in the middle of the pitch.

Tunnicliffe does well to track a runner in midfield and poke it away before he can get through the defense. We slow it down for a minute and shift left to right. Lovely interplay, Lingard down the right and into the box, back out to Brady who lashes a powerful shot over the bar at the far post.

Brady with a blind overhead kick to Lingard down the right, moves left to Tunners and back to #11 who shoots from the edge of the box and deflects for a corner.

Webb with a 'professional foul' on King and he runs clear down the left. Free kick is taken short and it's moved closer to King, who punches it in the air over his man and gets off a long shot that goes for a corner. Tunnicliffe gets it at the edge of the box but slices it wide.

Again we've been much better in the 2nd and completely dominant. We walk into the box again and King gets it open on the left of goal but shoots right at the keeper.

Great pressure high and they lose it for a United throw, back into attack mode immediately, King with the ball outside the box and it's cleared. Again we pressure the box but Cole loses it to Bannan, who gives it right back.

Then we give it right back and Villa hold for a moment. Then give it back, Keane was almost clear from a long ball but called for a foul, very iffy.

Villa with a great chance on the break! Carruthers from the center to Webb who comes in clear on the right and skies the ball over from 8 yards out.

Great stuff down the left from Lingard and King, back out and down the right, someone had a nice run into the box but it's nicked away and cleared but back to us.

Starting to thread between Villas tired legs.... think we might nick it.

Lingard with a great short cross from the right edge, into Wootton who is wide open from the middle of the box but skies his side footed effort over.

Been a while since Fryers has impressed me. Seems to be trying to play as if he has time on the ball but doesn't have the touch to do so. Needs to get back to basics and play simple football.

Gardner heads from a corner, nice power to the far post but Johnstone earns his place with a very good save, even if the man at the far post probably had it covered.

What a second half. Shame we couldn't grab a winner - deserved it. Penalties.

Fratton Park, play up Pompey!
It always seems to be us vs Villa in this final.

I remember Albrighton absolutely tearing Fabio apart a couple of seasons ago, might have been last season even!

Great save from Johnstone.
