He definitely feels a lot of justified contempt for Merson.

Need to get Yorke on the show with him now we're on the rise. The wind up would be comedy gold.

Yep. A nice change of pace after listening to the Neville wankfest on commentary.
Neville really is a sickening cnut at times.
We don't get Sky commentary in the US - was he wanking off the opponents in order not to be accused of having Man Utd bias?

No chance of that happening. Honestly think he's a bit twisted in the head.

Love how much of a fan he is... Clearly very happy with the effort the team are putting in and the character we're showing at the moment.

They’re both perfectionists but Neville is the pessimistic type who is always worried about what could go wrong, Keane’s always thinking about what could go right if you’re brave
That's a really keen observation and bang on. Keane has such a great energy about him.

Just catching up on the post game stuff. Keane really rates ETH doesn’t he. Couple of times he’s done that post match interview at the side of the pitch and you can tell Roy loves it.

Love this version of Roy, waited a long time for Utd to give him a team to be optimistic about

Particularly after the Liverpool game Ten Hag was interviewed again and you could see by Keane he didn't pour scorn on anything he said. He was straightforward and honest, no airs or graces , called it as it was. No bullshit. Things that Keane instantly identifies with and resonates with him.

Keane has been banging on for years and years now about a lack of character and passion, whereas the likes of Neville and co. have persisted with "we need X type of specialists in X position" and almost overcomplicated what the issue is.

ETH has come in and brought in not just quality, but real characters. Eriksen, I mean nothing more needing to be said there, the guy literally is back from the dead. Antony, Martinez, Casemiro, Malacia, they all seem to have that born competitor mentality about them, and top characters too because you only need to look at the camaraderie on the pitch to see it.

And what's more important is why they've replaced - the likes of Shaw and Maguire who play with zero personality. I think Keane respects that ETH has identified what he has been banging on about, and is the main reason for the nod for top 4.

I would love if he somehow gets involved in our team. Assistent or coach or something. Always been top professional.

We all know history about him and Sir Alex Ferguson. We all can see how much he loves ManUtd despite what happened long time ago.

He actually has standards. When he played it was a United/Arsenal 1-2 most seasons, so 8th, 8th and 5th for Arsenal and 6th for United simply isn't good enough. I remember a couple of years ago when Tim Cahill said to him that Arteta and Arsenal are the blueprint, and Keane rightly shut him down.

Good call. You can see in this clip why Keane was a legend of a player but wasn't a great manager. No patience, standards insane and too blinded by rage to manage but treated every game like a derby.

If you've read or seen Remains of the Day, Roy Kent/Roy Keane reminds me of the protagonist if he was full of rage.

Thanks for posting it, it's brilliant, and it's absolutely spot on. "I know why they lost"

Can you imagine Keane playing under Ten Hag? Match made in heaven regarding standards (rightly so as well)

I love the man and you can see why we won so many underserved matches while he was captain. He always has a positive outlook.

Really get the feeling Keane likes EtH. Which I guess tells you all you need to know about our new manager. If Keane respects him then that is good enough for me.
