Rugby Union 23/24 Discussion

Spends all his time on here reporting oppo fans for wumming, as bad a winner as is he is a loser. No class, this thread is better than that usually.

What for saying England deserved to win? Grow up guys. Can give it out but sore losers.

England left a lot of points out there with ford missing some kick able points. Ireland lucky to probably not have lost by more.

Farell still picking Murray and O'Mahony for the ireland squad needs questioning. How casey isn't ahead of Murray is mental.

I see your sarcasm meter isn't working.....or maybe it is?!
It's working, just had it MOT'd.

Bit silly of me but I expected a pasting today and spent 80 minutes wriggling on my arse today. Brilliant game, great result personally.

He's such a twat. Swoops in crowing when England do well. Forgetting they're raising their game because they're playing us. Proper underdog stuff.
Come on man. England nailed the blitz defence finally and got things going in attack. It’s lovely of you to think so much of yourselves though. Somehow england raise their game for you, but wouldn’t for bigger rivals in Scotland and wales. Sure thing

Yeh it was a brilliant game.

Brian O’Driscoll magnanimous in defeat. Nice to see.

It's not random.

So it’s okay to call other posters twats or just when it suits?

Personally I’m all for it (old Caf bants) but not when you lot give me points at every opportunity then don’t bother when your pals do it.

England were great.

Why don't more teams try drop goals. Is it that usually the converted try is worth waiting for? They seem like easy point sometimes?

I'm specifically talking about that poster. He's a wum whenever England win anything.

England haven't been great but were on top today and they did raise their game so fair play. We'll win the championship next week so it's all good.

Report it. Years of this tedious dance with you means I couldn't give a toss about your whinging.

In fairness, this was to stop Ireland winning consecutive Grand Slams and beating England's 11 game consecutive win streak that Ireland were matching, so there was a bit of grudge in the game because we did the reverse to ye back in 2017 I think.

Shows why it's impossible almost to win consecutive slams because you'll have to beat England and France home and away over 2 seasons. That's very hard to do because Stade de France and Twickenham are very hard places to go.

I'm trying not to be overly critical of Ireland. England had their day too and deserved it, but nothing to suggest today that this England team can do that on a consistent basis.

The U20 England team that drew with Ireland in an incredible game yesterday evening play nicer rugby.

Nice. I think back to all the times I’ve seen English fans being called arrogant.

England may not be able to be consistently this good, but they've definitely been underperforming for ages. I think their level is a lot higher than they've shown. At times today they were amazing. Only time will tell how much of that was Ireland being poor.

You don’t help yourselves lately tbh.

Anyway I’ll leave you all to it.

Nah man you are who you are, I'm not even a big rugby fan, hate most of the culture around it in Ireland. Your dislike of Ireland is well known.

In knock out games it makes complete sense. The bonus point is a big factor. Although honestly, I’m a big fan of going to the corner for seven points.

Boys boys….

On a day like this….cant we just agree that Scotland are still hilariously shite??!!

There’s so much to enjoy there :D

There are elements I just don't get, but I've never played.

I often struggle to get my head around kicking away possession.

Sometimes when your back is against the wall it's almost easier.

We have all witnessed many instances of this watching United beating the likes of Liverpool and City at OT, and thinking this is a turning point.

Many of the struggles of British rugby are largely systemic and may take time to sort.

I barely ever dip into this thread, and fell a weird satisfaction when Ireland lose (even though I'm from Ireland), but even I know TR is a pain in this thread. It's not new

I'm a bit vexed that no one insulted me when I congratulated England.:(

I used to. There was a period where I was happy when they won and still a bit happy when they lost. I think I'm over it now. Rob Kearney's accent gives me flashbacks.

Congrats English lads! Your boys really showed up and deserved the win. Would have been undeserved if we'd nicked it tbh.

Reckon that's the end of Murray to be honest. Front 5 were absolutely smashed up as well. Beirne and VdFlier the only two from the pack to come away with any credit.

Please, please can 6-2 on the bench be killed with fire now once and for all.
