People still like him here. I told my neighbour yesterday that the news was breaking that he'd died, and to my surprise she kind of clutched her pearls in anguish and looked genuinely upset. She's a elderly single lady, and also very well-educated - kind of the last person you'd think would feel any affection for a man like him.
