Good stuff.
So we won't see you commenting in this thread any further then!
Have a good one matey.
Wait what? Seriously?Yeah because 15th is the last position on the table and fans like you haven’t been claiming we are going into a relegation battle
Nope. Certainly not.I simply don't understand you people, do you think we have a squad of world class players or something? Why can't you understand that Solskjaer has only just started a desperately needed squad rebuild (after 6 years of directionless mismanagement) and will probably need 4/5 transfer windows before it is complete.
Could another manager do better with our squad with it's current injuries? Possibly but it isn't certain.
My view on supporting Ole has nothing to do with dropping standards, far from it, it's about restoring standards that have been lacking for many years. That will take time and patience.
Well it's often said that a week is long time in football, so you're probably right.Ole is a long way off having his job under threat.
I think you’ll need to head to a Molde fans forum to post on that thread.Think i'll leave it till the Solskjær sack watch | 2021/22 edition thread to comment if that's okay.
Poor squad + injury crisis = sack the managerNope. Certainly not.
Crisis? We lost 2 players to injury. Crisis?Poor squad + injury crisis = sack the manager
Am I doing it right now?
Two players?Crisis? We lost 2 players to injury. Crisis?
Keep on creating excuses for ole. It's entertaining
There are a ton of posts on here and Reddit that just read like pure Woodward/Board propaganda. They're drinking the "Believe in the process" Koolaid and giving undue credit for shipping out under-performing players (which is what any functional club does) but retaining players like Jones, Mata, Young...who aren't foundations or helpful bridges to anything in the future. No shit sherlock. We're 15th... so yeah. Any way to go is up
two players? Pretty sure it’s more like 8+Crisis? We lost 2 players to injury. Crisis?

I really don’t think Ole will get the sack unless we’re in serious danger of going down in March
It’s obvious from the outside that Ole and Ed sat down pre-Summer and put a plan together. I believe it went something like this -
- get rid of the high earners who have contributed very little
Reason: our wage bill was the highest in the PL and the structure had gone crazy. Players were put-out by Sanchez’s wages and the squad was unsettled. Some of our fans seem to think we have a bottomless pit of cash - but we really don’t. Wages account for half of our turnover so if we can offload the freeloaders, we free up money for signings.
- start to rebuild Utd with footballers who want to play for Utd for the right reasons
Reason: Ed seems to have realised you can’t just pick up a successful “name” from elsewhere, drop them into your team and expect them to deliver instant success. Football is a team game which revolves around having the right attitude and complimentary playing styles. Our team was a horrendous mish-mash of styles and players who downed tools the minute things didn’t go their way.
- develop Academy players so we can fill out the 23 with young, talented players, rather than having to spend £100m in backup full-backs, like City.
Reason: Transfer fees have gone insane. Im sorry but it’s untenable for anybody to keep spending £50m+ on a footballer to sit on the bench. It’s hurting City at the moment as they can’t develop a player, so they’re continually forced to spend big on squad players. If we can develop players like McTominay, Tuanzebe, Greenwood and Dean Henderson to fill-out the squad, we can focus on two/three big money signings each year.
In my opinion, all of the above policies make absolute sense. I said at the start of the season that we would be in for a terrible year but we need to ride it out to start fresh. I haven’t changed my opinion one bit. Those fans who think we would, or can, let eight go and bring eight in are just deluded. It was never going to happen that way. We’re paying now for bad decisions since about 2005 onwards....not for finally making some good decisions, like letting Sanchez and Lukaku go
Sums up our club.Ole is a long way off having his job under threat.
Oh yeah? Name themtwo players? Pretty sure it’s more like 8+
The poor squad is the managers fault. Blindly placing his faith in youth and relying on injury prone players to fill holes he created in his squad is his own doing.Poor squad + injury crisis = sack the manager
Am I doing it right now?
hopefully.Sums up our club.
Yep, sad times indeed.hopefully.
Well if the board have brains, they won’t replace Ole anytime soon.Ole is a long way off having his job under threat.
This needs to be put on the banner at the top of the page. This mystical clearout is PR bullshit for gutting our squad and not replacing anyone. We got rid of ONE high earner mate. Romelu Lukaku. He was also our top goalscorer and we're struggling to score goals this season so that was a great decision tactically.
Sanchez is back next summer and we're still paying his wages.
This 'clear out' is a fecking disgusting myth that needs to die immediately. Ole hasn't cleared out a thing - he lost our second best midfielder on a free transfer and got rid of Fellaini. Smalling and Sanchez have gone on loan and Darmian ceased to be a footballer 3yrs ago.
There was no clear-out, it's a load of bolllocks spin as is 99% of the shite that comes out of our club's PR machine.
Definitely entertaining. They have lost all capabilities of making rational statements. Too many excuses.Crisis? We lost 2 players to injury. Crisis?

If we drop into the relegation zone they won’t have a choice. He won’t carry on in his job if there’s a genuine fear of relegation which there is.He won't be sacked during the season.
Some of you really haven't been paying attention to what is being said by Woodward in recent weeks.
They are prepared to rough it out with Ole come what may. They've made a decision that he's the man and that the only way that will prove correct is by giving him his full term. I'd say only relegation would change their minds.
From a cynical perspective you could also say that the real reason they want to give him time is because he's happy to operate within their stingy net spend and accept not going for every target he identifies.
Not to mention we need to sign a replacement for Lukaku anyway. The difference in wages is a drop in the ocean for this club.We got rid of ONE high earner mate. Romelu Lukaku. He was also our top goalscorer and we're struggling to score goals this season so that was a great decision tactically.

It's impossible to even imagine any other big club being in this situation. Somehow it's the danger of relegation that is the cut off nowSums up our club.
It's just unbelievable. As I said before, our fanbase is as much to blame as our board for all this mess we are in right now. We deserve all the shite we get right now. It's impossible to even imagine any other big club being in this situation. Somehow it's the danger of relegation that is the cut off now
Bailly, Pogba, Matic, Shaw, Tuanzebe, Dalot. We've literally just got Martial back.Definitely entertaining. They have lost all capabilities of making rational statements. Too many excuses.
Only three of those mentioned players would be in our strongest 11.Bailly, Pogba, Matic, Shaw, Tuanzebe, Dalot. We've literally just got Martial back.
That certainly isn't "2 players".
Talking about rational statements while not making rational statements; an incredible lack of self-awareness.
Just imagine if we had Bailly and Dalot fit, we would be at least 1st in the league right now.Bailly and Dalot being listed like they matter. Matic wouldn't be starting either.
What this team really needs is a headless chicken in centre of defence and a RB who can't defendJust imagine if we had Bailly and Dalot fit, we would be at least 1st in the league right now.
Unless you think the players mentioned would have 0 appearances if they were fit, your point is moot.Only three of those mentioned players would be in our strongest 11.
No it isn't.Unless you think the players mentioned would have 0 appearances if they were fit, your point is moot.
No one said that. Read the posts again. Are we are now placing all our woes on the fact we couldn't play Bailly or Matic during the injury crisis?
