We can't even get the ball into an area where we can score scruffy goals
Not true. James has been serving low crosses for easy tap-ins all season. You have to make runs towards the 5 yard box in order to score scruffy goals.
0:43 - not the best cross but there's no determination whatsoever in the box. Where is the urgency?
0:59 - finally some urgency from Rashford but his starting position is too deep. The best forwards in the world would 'cheat' and be a couple of meters closer to the goal before the ball is played to James.
1:32 - where is the anticipation? Rashford is jogging and only starts the sprint when James releases the ball. Completely unacceptable and this alone is all the proof you need that he isn't a center forward.
1:43 - when the cross comes in our two players closest to the goal have 7 goals between them in 80 games since the start of last season. The goal threat is literally non existent in the box.
Compare that to a 19 year old who is the joint top scorer i the CL:
Every single attack he is literally hugging the offside line and expecting every ball to be played to him. The determination to score goals is unreal. This isn't rocket science. If you show intent, anticipation, urgency and a hunger for goal you will get loads of tap-ins.
If you however have strikers like Rashford doing none of those things then yeah, we won't be scoring many scruffy goals. And we will have posters like yourself claiming we don't create chances to score scruffy goals.
