Return to form from Gareth Edward’s? Getting good reviews and looks right up my alley. Reckon I’ll pop over to the IMAX for this.
The themes look like a rehash of the Matrix trilogy and other films but the visuals look really cool.
AI? Steven Spielberg's film? Also reminds me of that movie with Jude Law and the kid who was a robot. I can remember no more than those details but do remember thinking it was a very underrated film.
AI? Steven Spielberg's film?
Yeah it's an ok film (might actually warrant a rewatch in the current context of AI growth), but I seem to recall it was originally a Kubrick project, would have been quite fascinating to see his vision on this. That’s the one!
It was overlong with a hideously mawkish last 20 minutes or so is all I remember of that film. That’s the one!
Ticket booked for tuesday, not opted for IMAX as @Sweet Square has confirmed it was filmed entirely on Polaroid. Still looking forward to it though.
The quality of the lower price cameras exceeds what was used 13 years ago in cinema. What matters is the 80 million budget. It doesn’t really look like my vibe but might watch as apparently the majority of the film was shot on the Sony FX3

which only cost around £4000
I watched it yesterday. It was alright. A decent action romp. I think they could have done so much more with it, though. It would be anything from a 3/10 to a 7/10, depending on how much leeway you want to give, because there's plot holes and leaps of faith galore in this movie.
