The Secret Life of Walter Mitty:

An average film. About a guy who was fun in youth, but forced to do a 9-6 job to earn money and dreams of his younger years. Finally goes off on a 'just do it' adventure....and then returns back to his boring life!!! The visuals are stunning, subtle humour in some scenes, but overall the movie lacks substance. Comes across as a dream out of touch with reality. Quiet, light hearted time pass movie.

It didn't scare me...which is surprising. Not bad though.

Couldn't care less.
Cabin In The Woods - Five friends go to a remote cabin in the woods. Bad things happen. If you think you know this story, think again. Still can't get my head around it how this turned out. If you're in some freaky sheet, then do watch it. NOW.

I hated it. Thinks it's cleverer than it actually is.

I watched that Sugarman docu last night and was underwhelmed until the concert. Very uplifting and he seems like a hell of a bloke. Really good story and well told.

Harry Potter on ITV right now. They're all bloody brilliant, the major downside is that cnut Ron Weasley. What a wanker. Everything about him screams 'TWAT!'. Why does he have to get Hermione? Why couldn't they just kill the nob.

I saw the Ron Weasley actor at the Grove, a posh hotel in Hertfordshire. He was with a bunch of early 20s folk but was hiding in the corner in a hoodie with the hood up, like he thought if anyone saw him they would immediately rush over to bask in his amazingness. Came across as a tool who got lucky.

The Idiots - Lars Von Trier (1998)

Watched this again after over ten years thinking I might not like it so much, but once again thought it was brilliant. Just shows that you can strip away nearly all the crap phony Hollywood production bollocks that covers up for shit themes and writing and screenplays and art in general and still make a very moving transcendental film and not compromise yourself, even if Von Trier is still slightly taking the piss out of himself. Some good frontal cock shots for those who are butt hurt by Mr. Censorship. Definitely along with Festen one of the more pioneering films along the naturalistic Dogme lines to come along at the turn of the century.

9 cocks up

Don Jon A modern version of Don Juan set in New Jersey. Largely focusing on porn and wanking. Not terrible with a few laughs but with a suprisingly sweet ending (if a tad unbelievable). I'm not sure the demographic this was aiming for as it seems to be a chick flick aimed at blokes. Worth a watch if you want a few laughs on a Friday night at home with a "DVD".7/10

The ending was rubbish...it just ended. No way that character would bang Julianne Moore either.

The Words - liked it, mostly beacause of the acting, altough I am still not sure about the end, but it's probably left for audience to interpret it the way they want it. Btw, the whole movie could also be interpreted as his story too, so it's a bit ironic.

I agree with the bold part, but I don't know what did you expect from the end, there was no real story anway, only decent end would be if he masturbated 20 times in a row and died.

As I'm in Malaysia I thought I'd try out some malay horror films. I bought 3 and only this one had English subs. The film was decent. Good storyline, decent acting, a good twist and the protagonist did things that most people would do if put in his situation but the problem was that most of the scare tactics were just cliched and predictable. A decent attempt but suffered from uninspiring moments 6/10

The Wolf of Wall Street

Was fun and didn't drag, even though it's 3 hours long. But I don't think it's one of Scorsese's best.

Another malay horror film and this one was pretty good. Again some dodgy acting and some strange effects thrown in but overall it was quite inventive and built suspense well in places. I was quite spooked by it as it showed many signs of demons that a ghost Hunter was telling me about a few days prior 7.5/10

An oldie I watch every few years. A great action flick with a documentary style still influential today.

I can't run fast enough to get away from anything with Seth Rogan in it, or the whole Judd Apatow crowd for that matter.

Check that, I did like Girls which Judd I guess had a hand in.
He wrote the final episode of Girls second season which pretty much undid all the good work the show had done.

Freaks and Geeks was quality though.

He was still the not quite as good as everyone else character in Freaks and Geeks. The lanky 12 year old and Linda Cardenelli were the standouts (for me anyway). Plus the good writing made Freaks and Geeaks what it was, which had nothing to do with Rogan.

The film looked amazing, the soundtrack was brilliant, the acting was pretty good but the story was a Damn mess and for me, story is the most crucial element in a film. If they had sorted that out, this film could have been a classic as all the other elements for a great film were in place 5.5/10

Guy Pearce trying to undo all of the good movie work he has done in one of the most cliche-riddled action films of all time. Zero originality and to be honest it's not worth elaborating on. Just don't waste two hours like I did.
