Is it just me or has soccer manager meant anyone else now knows the first names of so many random players across the world?

I look at the scores on the Fotmob app and as it just says surnames for goals etc my brain keeps on adding the relevant first name.

It's like a gift and a curse. My friends cannot understand how I know about so many players especially up and coming youth.

Yeah, my problem is that you lot already snap up those players, I'm starting to learn Scandinavian and Japanese players just to find the differential.

Birthdays? Wow, that is definitely a curse.

Thankfully I'm not that bad. Only knew Mbappe's because of the points I'm losing. Forgot to update the table for this month but guessing next month I'll be third/fourth.

My phone gives me google updates on games in french second division, random portuguese and ukrainian games, all cause I google a lot of really random players from all over the world. This game has allowed me talk utter rubbish to some of my more keen football friends and for them to be impressed..... All cause I don't want Damo getting any of the good young CBs...

And it has worked. Though after 37 years, Leite is finally starting a league game.

Alaba and Boateng deserve +1s but I've been burned enough by this review to know that ain't going to happen. Baku will probably get the Disasi treatment and get a +1.

Stats overall are fairly similar with the biggest thing sticking out being United's conversion rate is much worse (plus more of United's oppos shots being on target compared to Everton). Still pissed over the defeats to Everton.

If you give me Reyna, there'll be space to fit in Bender.

@Damien Jude +3.
Surprisingly high number of Bundesliga players in your squad.

Kimmich might get +1
I decided to underrate Jude so I'm not disappointed if he doesn't get +3.

I signed four of them in the last few months - three due to my spree of winning bidding wars. Definitely got more from Bundesliga than other players.

Kimmich probably will - he's not my player anymore. If there was any way to have all three of Kimmich, Trent and Jude I would have gone for it.

Congrats to @dutza90 on being the 17th team to win the league cup in 22 seasons!

Still find it funny that the only club on one trophy who didn't win the league cup is Bolton... who won the Champions Cup.

So this dropped into my email. Uses block chain and sounds similar to Football Index in some respects, from the very brief information I can see so far. Looks like it could be real money trading, but also could not be. Only on PC so as a sole phone/tablet user I am not the best target.

"Hi, Frank

An exclusive game world for only the best of the best managers.

Soccer Manager Elite takes realism of soccer management simulation to a whole new level.

With only 300 teams to manage there can be only 300 of the best of the best managers, however, that’s not all the game is about.

Each club and player is owned by other players as shareholders who must work together and vote in new managers and agents. Or Sack the bad ones.

As this is an early beta, it’s very easy to become a manager of a club with the free SMC that are provided. Only 130 of 300 clubs have been taken, so get in quick, buy shares in your favourite club and propose and vote yourself to be a manager.

If you have Discord you can receive real time notifications for events in the game and also receive real time support. Or, use the built in chat to communicate to other managers, agents and shareholders.

Football isn’t just about managers and players, it’s also about business and money.

Experience what it’s like to be really in charge, or only have a voice.

Earn SMC by playing the game in this one-off, unique game world never before experienced in the world of management simulations. Powered by Blockchain Technology.

Every game takes place on Wednesday and Saturday, Cup games on Monday.

Checkout the user guide and download the latest game client here (you will need to sign up for the beta) > https://soccermanagerelite.com"

£40M + Trent Alexander-Arnold (21/92) + Jude Bellingham (16/78) for Joshua Kimmich (25/94)

Bellingham's now 17/86, Trent is 22/93 and Kimmich is still 25/94 but guaranteed to be 95 by the end of the season.
