Hence the reason I pushed for promotion last season

Doesn't matter if this is my last season in Div 1
You'll be fine. If you survive a season or two your stadium will expand further, which, although it is bad news for your chances of keeping players due to reduced squad size (I'm willing to take on Dembele), you'll end up making more money which will benefit you in the long run - see Darlington.

Should have accepted my gorgeous offer for Hamez
I probably would have if cash wasn't useless. I think what I need to do is use two of my players for somebody else's one. Anyone fancy a deal?

Wouldn't say cash is useless. It depends on the development cycle of your squad. It's pretty much useless for the top clubs but not for the rest as you can use that cash to really build a top squad. Requires time and patience though as it'll take a while. For top clubs, FFP renders cash quite useless.

Anyways, I'm always open for deals. Drop me a PM and lemme know what you have in mind.

They'll just sell him for a profit I think.
I dunno... who else have they for backup to MSN? Would make sense to bring him back as cover for early cup games or league games against crappy teams to keep MSN fit for bigger games...
