Early 40’s. Kids didn’t happen for us (for reasons I am not near enough drunk for), but we have nieces and nephews who are “our kids”. So basically we are of an age where we are looking at a future where our “kids” are fecked. I get so passionate/frustrated because I see that my generation is leaving my “kids” an absolute shitshow. Our 15 yo niece, who is so amazing, is giving up her dream of being a surgeon because she thinks it is too expensive. Another niece, who is 11, has serious eating (like life threatening) issues due to depression of what she sees on the news.
What do their parents do? What can we do? I don’t care about me so much,
@Mr Pigeon nominated me as funniest poster, so I’ve hit my life goal. I do care about what we are leaving behind. Sorry for the rambling, I am just so worried for my “kids”.
