If you really think this ''insurrection'' was due to tweets then why not just take down the whole site ? If it's such a powerful tool then simply banning one guy seems to a rather lacking response.

Also yes a crowd full of maga chuds thinking they could take down the worlds number 1 superpower by photo copying their arse in Nancy Pelosi office is very funny. I mean one old fat guy died because he taser himself trying to install a dictatorship for Donald Trump.
Yeah, you’re right, I’m wrong. It was sooooo funny. I bet that police officers family is laughing so hard. I mean, what’s a death in comparison to @Sweet Square getting to laugh. I need to work on my sense of humor since I don’t find police officers dying and being injured while protecting others funny.

These people also listen(And seem to have moved on)to a random person on the internet called Q, now what ?
Q is not a real person. If he were, he'd certainly be on many lists. Also, 75 million people didn't vote for Q, they voted for Trump. Even if he didn't create the situation himself by asking people to march on the Capitol, he was certainly adding fuel to the fire during an extremely volatile situation. We are dealing with someone with the influence of a Charles Manson.

And I'm all out of bubblegum.

Mate, half of your posts in this thread lately are jokes. Take your own advice and don't post if you're drunk. Only @Mr Pigeon is allowed to do that.

Apologies if this was a joke, I'll delete my account and also Eboue.

His German heritage is showing
Didn't his great grandfather bugger off from Germany because he wanted to avoid his military service? He came across the pond and opened a Brothel. I guess he is keeping up the family traditions.

No worries, apology accepted.

Tasered himself in the balls.
Oh are you saying dying by self inflicted taser to the balls is funny?! Well sir that man had a family!

Q is not a real person. If he were, he'd certainly be on many lists.
So you would kick anyone off the internet that posts shit you didn't like ? I don't even care about the whole free speech angle on this but the result would be a extremely dull internet.

We are dealing with someone with the influence of a Charles Manson.
Well then why aren't you and other millions of americans outside the white house right now or actively trying to get the military to force a coup on the trump administration ? If you truly believe he's in anyway similar to Charles Manson then why are you just sitting here posting on the internet ? Again this seems a rather lacking respond to the belief that Charles Mason pt 2 is in charge of the worlds biggest nuclear arsenal.

There's this massive disconnect between how more liberal people talk about Trump - he's a fascist, a neo nazi, a dictator, the new Charles Mason etc etc. And the actions they take, which is far more telling imo. The fact we are all sitting here posting and not out on the streets really means we all think that Trump is in fact just right wing goon who was a former reality tv host. But because of this liberal hysteria we are going to get a even more shitter and duller version of the internet.

Alex Jones has said stuff every bit as deluded and dangerous as Q, so his outrage here is kinda funny.
Yeah he's always loved talking about demons. Clearly losing a share of his audience to the Q stuff.

A intellectual debate between Jones and the Q Shaman who be a fitting start to a new 2021.

So. I’m not going to make you delete you account, but it was a (very poor) attempt at frustrated humor/satire (sorry @Sweet Square). I am just, well, saddened/frustrated by all this. Is it funny that a cop died? No. Is it funny that someone tazered their balls and died? Yeah. Am I drunk? Working on it.

Here’s the thing. We are fecked and I don’t know what we do about it, so I resort to (admittedly sometimes bad) humor to try and frame it in my brain. I wish I had the words.

Bye the way, what’s an Eboue?

Eh, that says more about your sense of humour tbh. He started declining after taking the presidency, that unhinged press conference was probably the climax. After that he just became more and more bitter, and just repeats buzzwords and attacks on democrats and liberals and fake news media. Look at some of the gems posted a few pages ago, that was peak Trump.

Well, it won't be happening on twitter, he's already banned there. Not sure why he was even brought up as an example.

His very best posts were before wining the presidency but he still had some gems recently.

“John Bolton was one of the dumbest people in government that I’ve had the “pleasure” to work with,” Trump tweeted. “A sullen, dull and quiet guy, he added nothing to National Security except, “Gee, let’s go to war.” Also, illegally released much Classified Information. A real dope!”

Just to show that Q people maybe have moved on from seeing Trump as basically god.

Just a random curious question. How old are you ? I get where you're coming from with being frustrated and all but I'm wondering what generation is taking it the hardest.
Early 40’s. Kids didn’t happen for us (for reasons I am not near enough drunk for), but we have nieces and nephews who are “our kids”. So basically we are of an age where we are looking at a future where our “kids” are fecked. I get so passionate/frustrated because I see that my generation is leaving my “kids” an absolute shitshow. Our 15 yo niece, who is so amazing, is giving up her dream of being a surgeon because she thinks it is too expensive. Another niece, who is 11, has serious eating (like life threatening) issues due to depression of what she sees on the news.

What do their parents do? What can we do? I don’t care about me so much, @Mr Pigeon nominated me as funniest poster, so I’ve hit my life goal. I do care about what we are leaving behind. Sorry for the rambling, I am just so worried for my “kids”.

Tell them there is more to life than the rat race in the USA. Tell them to be brave and that you guys will always be there to support them if they need it. This country isn't the beginning or end of the world. It's a sad sign of our times when eleven and fifteen year old kids have to carry weights like these on their shoulders. I also cannot stress enough the importance of music or any artistic expression.

As someone with zero artistic talent I would have shrugged at this a few years ago. However, my wife, who has talent in this area, has a weekly call with the younger one where they chat and do art together and have a fun snack. It has made a world of difference over the last few months.

As for the rest, I am still wrestling with it. I think the next generation is poised to enact the needed radical changes, so the challenge becomes getting a savable world to them and getting the Boxers/Pelosis/Turtles/Cruz’s/etc. out of their way. I don’t think mine and older generations have the interest in doing it, but I hope I’m wrong.

Things you can control

Ask the kids to focus on things inside their control.
As for the US; I’m telling my kids to plan to get the fcuk out of here.
That’s both good advice and selfish of me as I don’t want to hang around either.

it is possible to impeach a former President? Seeing conflicting stuff on this.

I mean it's going to hard enough to pass even with the new Senate, so why the rush to do everything before the 20th?
Can anybody clarify this? All networks and SM keep reiterating this 20th deadline and "time running out"

That article sounds like a recipe for selfishness.
Maybe. I found this great graphic the other day and sent it to my kids but damned if I can link it on here so i linked that one instead. The point remains; let the kids know to only worry about shit that’s in their control, it’ll help with their mindset especially in these fcuked up times.

I wouldn't see it that way at all. It's aimed at people who are stressed or suffer with anxietys. It's about teaching them not to worrying or over-thinking about things outside of their control. I've found some people with anxiety need to learn a bit of selfishness in any case. Some worry more about external factors rather than focussing on their own needs and what's important to them.

Sounds like a very narrow, inward view of life, if they succeed. Won't they end up replacing anxiety with cnuntiness and bitterness?

I think there are very few things any of us can control, but we fret about all sorts of stuff because of our humanity, empathy, etc.

The impeachment trial can be held after Trump is no longer President. If convicted, and amongst other things, Trump would be barred for life from holding any federal office, which would mean he couldn't again run for President.

Yes, a black man reaching unprecedented levels of unanimous praise worldwide had to be brought down. So they bought into the birther thing and all the other crap Trump et al were conjuring.

Obama had his flaws just like any candidate, and his ling term solutions to the misery of America's poor were easy targets for false promises of immediate "greatification" and cheap socialism-bashing of Obama policies.

Sadly, the have not's killed their own chance to get something. But hey, at least they got to replace a melanin rich president with one sprinkled with Cheeto-coating!
