So ESPN is a day late and now there's more hope? Nothing has really changed though has it? Patience folks.

This is odd. On one hand, it's ESPN, a fairly trustworthy media outlet, on the other hand the article reads as something you read in The Sun.

I think that it's come to the point that we'll now call everything bullshit, seeing as we've been let down so much. Even if the signing is announced on the official site.
Yeah I'm not believing anything until its official. It seems as tough it's been "almost done" or ages now.

Surely Sky would have similar sources within United as ESPN, surprised they've yet to run anything.

My guess is this is the old scattergun approach, some say he's coming some say he's not. In the end one will look credible the other will forget anything happened. It happens every transfer window

To be honest, I don't go for ESPN or Sky or indeed anyone on twitter rather than Daniel Taylor and Mark Ogden. Ogden broke SAF's retirement first and DT works for the best paper in the country and is based in the north west footy-wise.

We've been close before though.

Supporting United is like being a retarded Jewish kid at Christmas getting a blowjob from some inexperienced fat girl with a small mouth. You're watching all the other kids in the street blowing their loads into the warm, fleshy orifices of deep-throating porn-stars; whilst you sit there, concentrating hard, trying to arouse that tingling feeling from your Hebrew loins whilst this bint nibbles and knocks away at your circumcised nob like a chubby Tulisa trying to munch on a chip shop sausage blindfold.

Face it. All we're ever gonna be is close.

It is weird though that Sky are yet to run anything on the situation. This morning they were mentioning possible signings, and included Garay, Baines and Strootman, but nothing on Thiago.

I allowed my emotions to get the better of me when reputable sources (Hunter and co) were saying that personal terms were being agreed, and the deal was close. That was around 2 weeks ago. I'm a bit more cautious about it now until United confirm it, or at least Thiago himself, like Hazard did, I guess.

This is just restating what we already knew, no? We've made the best bid we could, we're confident it'll happen, Barca are still trying to keep him, it could still fall through. Nothing new about any of that.

Right now we're waiting to hear that Barcelona have been unsuccessful in their attempt to keep him. Surely that info will emerge on the Spanish end first?

The thing is, 'close' could mean a lot of things. To us Caftards it means one or two days, but in reality a deal 2 weeks from being completed is pretty close.

Yeah, last week they shown one paper mention Thiago and that was it. They've not said or shown anything other than that. Given that Hunter reports on there a lot it is a bit weird.

Please be true. If not, get the man who owns that Utd shirt and forge his signature onto the contract.

WHY was if removed?
This was an announcement that got lost in the switchover to XenForo:

Gifs/pictures/memes in the Football Forums

The use of gifs/pictures/memes/videos has gotten out of hand to the point where it is ruining discussions. While we want humour posting the same dozen gifs/"y u no?" memes has long ceased to be funny - if it ever was - so we have taken the decision to remove them from the football forums.

Obviously, they can at times add something to the discussion, but the issue is everyone also thought this before, which led us to where we are now. If you feel a point can't be made without text alone, then at the least please keep it football-related. If in doubt, don't post it. Warnings and infractions will be given when these simple considerations haven't been met, and we will remove anything we deem to be to the detriment of the standard of discussion in the football forums.

Thanks in advance for your cooperation.
