Can't believe they broke the streak, I thought it would been better for Shawn Michaels or Kane to do it but whatever, dont really follow WWE anymore. I hear Sting will make an appearance today?

Just finished watching it

During the taker match I thought, ok not interested in this at all, at least when it was HBK or HHH you'd think they'd have a shot, but not lesnar

Fan reactions were amazing

They must have hired that staring African-American man to be in the front row just to perform that stare. It was too perfect a look at too perfect a time caught on camera.

Still cannot beleive Taker got beat, Raw should be interesting.

Amazing moment, like time stood still and you could see on people's faces the actual disbelief in what they had just seen.

Its funny isnt it? Two things happened.

One being unpredictable which was Takers streak being ended.
The other being the right move and many called predictable but were happy with because it made most sense which was Bryan beating the Authority and then winning the title.

WM is a win just for those two right there. As I said on the last page, for a younger guy, beating the guy who beat the streak will be better in fans eyes than being the one to break the streak. No way should Reigns or Wyatt have beaten it this year (nor Cena either). They needed somebody in between the two and Brock was the perfect guy. (its just stupid imo they had him have that useless feud with HHH and lose at WM to him last year in a watered down version of his match with Cena)

Regardless Raw has soooo many questions going into it which is brilliant and on top of that they have so many building blocks who looked stronger coming out of WM despite a win or a loss (Cesaro, shield, wyatts).

Lemmy has forsaken us....
 That's true.

On a plus note, as much as everyone hates Batista like I read on WZ you have to give him credit for tapping out to Bryan. He could have been rolled up or kicked out after 3, but he happily put over Bryan and tapped out at Mania.
Forgot about that, Orton gets to play up the "I never lost the title" shtick.

It was a good decision for the WWE to end the streak and im sure Undertaker wanted it to happen too. It was a good wrestlemania and it really kicks off the year. WWE can really kick it onto the next gear here now if they play their cards right.

I thought Mania was really good. Best PPV since I started rewatching again in 2011.

The opening segment was a great way to start the show and Lesnar breaking the streak was a good idea. It was a big surprise and events like this need things like that. There's loads they can do with Lesnar's win short-term and long-term.

The opening and closing matches were very good and Bryan could not have been booked any stronger.

I'd expect Raw to be good tonight as well and there's enough things arising from Mania to carry on into Extreme Rules.

Last night had the feeling of a start of a to quote WWE a "New Era", Hogan/Rock/Austin opening the show in the way they did ties in with that. Albeit wise after the event.

Bryan went over HHH claimed the title at the end of the night. The Shield emphatically made short work of Kane and the New Age Outlaws. Cesaro's iconic lifting Big Show over the ropes, Wyatt losing but still looking strong after getting into Cena's head. Lesnar defeating the streak and with it the last of the "Old Guard".

Was a great show to be fair.

Theory: Undertaker (Mark Halloway?) didn't want to be remembered for simply 'The Streak' and have dumbass fans badgering him to defend it when he is in his 60's. Decided to get it over with so he can once more be remembered simply as the Undertaker and all the great moments he had in his own right.

The David Moyes effect.
Love, love, love that!

Can't believe it happened though - I thought they'd leave the streak perfect, or maybe give it to someone like Reigns who they were going to push to the stars. Lesnar must have committed himself to them long-term for them to choose him to end it.

My only gripe... and it really is a pathetic gripe... is that Bryan didn't win it with a 1-2-3 count... I always feel a big win is more satisfying when it comes with a 1... 2....3! and a huge pop.

Oh and erm, I lost my shit when Taker lost

Truth like rain don't give a feck who it falls on.
As we reported earlier this morning, The Undertaker suffered some sort of head or neck injury during his match at WrestleMania 30 last night, and was taken to a local New Orleans hospital for observation.

Despite this, however, the match went exactly as planned, and it's being said it was The Undertaker himself who made the decision that Brock Lesnar would end the streak. We reported several days ago that back in 2010 Undertaker wanted Lesnar to end the streak, so it seems as if that's who Undertaker has had in mind for several years now.

Although not confirmed, the impression given backstage after the match last night is that Undertaker is indeed done, and it remains unclear as to how this might alter plans for a possible Sting vs Undertaker match at WrestleMania 31.

Not surprising. Taker looked completely dead yesterday and the match itself was rather poor.

Looking at the reactions, I don't think its guaranteed a young guy would benefit from this. If anything, it could make a life term heel. Giving it to Lesnar, and Heyman(!!!) is brilliant. Lesnar and Heyman are more capable of putting someone over right now. For a part timer he turns up more than Taker too. Regardless of Takers age, the only PPV he does is Mania, and he's not up to it anymore. Supposedly Taker was concussed btw, for a large chunk of the match so that could go some way to explaining the pace.
Agreed. The "IWC" sometimes, they don't know what they want. If Taker wins its too predictable, loses to a young guy he's probably not ready and if it was a older wrestler (like Brock) it's a waste. WWE can't win here.

I'd say him never wrestling again might indeed alter that plan a tad.

From everything I've seen the worst reactions have been from outside the IWC.

It's a fairly old convention that wrestlers always go out on a loss. Passing the torch and all that. Undertaker is about as old school as it gets so it's not suprising really.

Him wanting to go out against Brock is suprising to me. I'd have preferred Kane given their history.

Didn't he try to give it to Angle, Orton, and one of two others, only for them to flat refuse a win.
Angle was going to end it, but Eddie Guerrero died so they had to go the Rey Mysterio tribute thing which bombed. Angle and Undertaker had to have their match at the February PPV and then Taker got saddled with Mark Henry.

Lucky that Angle didn't end it actually, he pretty much self destructed by the end of 2006.

I'm glad the streak ended when noone expected. They've created a moment that will last for ages. 'mania 30 will be talked about for years. Imagine if for example they had been pushing Reigns to end the streak they would never have got that reaction.

As for Lesnar he'll be around in the long run. Ending the streak makes him the biggest heat magnet and increases his badassery. He is now the biggest heel WWE has ever had. Imagine the reaction when he finally loses to an emerging baby face like Reigns or Cesaro.

I'm glad they used this mania to put over the next generation. Last year was a bore with lots of rematches and predictable matches. None of the young talent was allowed to shine.

As for Undertaker his impact goes beyond the streak. He is a 1st ballot hall of famer. He'll always have that mistique.
