United are planning to head out to Italy and participate in the Torneo Memorial Claudio Sassi once again over the Easter period.

United are drawn in Group A of the U/18 category and have been drawn against Modena, Juventus and Sanfrecce Hiroshima of Japan.

Schedule:

22.4.11 v Modena @ 19:15
23.4.11 v Juventus @10:45
24.4.11 v Sanfrecce Hiroshima @10.45

The final is on the the 25th should the Reds get through.

Not sure in the squad given that the Youth Team will be playing Chelsea in the second leg of the FAYC on the 20th so we will wait and see.

I would have liked to have gone out but clashes with Everton at home on the Saturday.

Goals from Brady, Massaci and either 2 from Lawrence & 1 from Lingard or vice-versa depending on if you believe the organisers of the event or another guy on twitter

beating Juve will be a great experience for them.

Petrucci is class and just needs to develop physically after loosing 2 years of development.

Team v Modena was Coll, Massacci, Thorpe, McGinty, Blackett, Vermijl, Pogba, Norwood (c), Brady, Lingard, Lawrence.

Michael Keane came on as a sub and was sent off. Not sure what for?

Other goals from Lawrence & Lingard. And Johnstone was 'immense' apparently.

starting XI Vs Empoli: coll, lingard, m keane, Lawrence, Blackett, fornasier, mcginty, tunnicliffe, cole, Thorpe, Massacci (C)

Edit: people are saying that Coll has dropped out injured. Norwood has taken his place in the team. I think that means either Tunnicliffe or Blackett has gone in goal, but some people are saying Norwood :S

Not sure whats happened to Johnston

Second Edit: confirmed Norwood in goals

Coll injured yesterday and Sam Johnstone has flown to Germany as we'd only taken two keepers.

Petrucci and W. Keane coming on at half-time.

Norwood keeping a clean sheet so far

Update: It's actually a triple change. Petrucci, Keane and Vermijl on for Fornasier, Lawrence and Lingard.

Amos was loaned out to Oldham, even though he is back, he is now illegible in Europe
Say you mention that on twitter.. but why? Under 21s can be named on the B list at any point.. why would a loan make him ineligible?

Because the rules state that. He played for another club in this period, therefore he cannot play.
