Re. Points 1 and 2 you are probably right, but also its not impossible. Showing ambition involves trying to better yourself, and that includes aiming high. If you don't even try then you'll never get. Look at how a crappy club like City have got some of the world's best players and one of the worlds best manager. If they had the same attitude you have then they'd never have got anywhere.

Re. Point 3, Bayern can afford it. The only reason to doubt it'd happen is because historically they tend to be more shrewd in the transfer market and not spend vast sums of money. Presumably that will evdntually have to change if they are to stay competitive with the best teams in Europe.
What on earth are you talking about? Ridiculous drivel. Man City are the richest club in the world due to oil money, and as far as I can see, they have not gotten any players from Barcelona/Real Madrid. And by that I mean players that are starting for said clubs. The same attitude I have? Let’s see what happens if I had won the lottery tomorrow... ridiculous.

Well clearly it seems highly relevant when we have an attacking play which doesn't work. What we however don't have is a problem defending. So to improve our team - it seems logical, that our new fullbacks attacking skills should be highly relevant. Most fullbacks can defend - I want some who can actually contribute more going forward.
Getting the most attacking fullback in world football means nothing if the orders are "stay behind the DM at all times". Just saying the tactics mean more than the players sometimes.

We have never had full-backs playing with such instructions so you don’t need to worry yourself there.

This is an odd one. The article states Mourinho likes players who play in a range of positions, when Jose seems to have said he prefers specialists. Additionally, if Juventus are prepared to accept around £60m for Sandro shouldn’t we be jumping at that? Especially if they’ll take Darmian as a make-weight at even around £10m.

I like Shaw just as much, but Shaw must grow up asap. At this point, he would be an upgrade.
Yeah he’s a lot more of a focused kid, plus his delivery shits all over that of Shaw and Rose; he’d be a great acquisition moving forward.

Interesting that Jose was at the Scotland game - obviously Tierney didn’t play but I imagine he was up there to do more than simply watch McTominay.

Steve Bates in the Mirror says we're willing to sell Pogba to buy Varane, Kroos and Sandro, with Marquinhos and Veratti as back up options.
We should go for PSG's players. Veratti, Marquinhos & Meunier. I wouldn't be surprised if their stars want out. The French League is a joke and players like Neymar already found this out.

Plus PSG can't do a Neymar on us. Our players do not have buy-out clauses.

Been one of the most exciting things in the last few years for me, we should start seeing products of our efforts make their way into the first team in the next year or two. Not seen as much talent at as many different levels since the FA Youth Cup winning team.

The problem with selling Pogba is although he hasn’t been good enough yet you just know if he went to another team he’d absolutely boss it. Seems to me we have to try harder with the player (maybe start by playing him in his best position) rather than just selling him.

Just for the record. Aguero heading back to Argentina in 2020 at the age of 31. So 2 more years of him here then

Is it just me or United seem going for more technically gifted players the likes of Chong, O'Connor, Burkart, Millen Baars, Bohui, Puigmal, Traore and McCann, Lucas Gomes, there still hope in the U18 talents now and is the best team in the north league and has scored most goals than everyone. Hope some of them may turn out be like Scholes instead of Morrison.

Lol ridiculous and baseless statement. just few days ago Jose barraged Shaw to be more active in the attacking build up. Or how he's always picking Young ahead of Darmian.

Scouts?
Can someone explain to me why Everton would send scouts for Smalling? Surely they know by now what his qualities are, it's not like he is an unknown talent or something.
No wonder they sent scouts.

I agree - but noone can accuse Spurs of having that problem. With that in mind, Rose should have done better

No matter who you want to buy, you send scouts. Doesn't matter if they're a known quantity or in the same league.

Look like Griezmann and Umtiti is likely to join United this summer, Griezmann has said: "that does not mean I want to go to Manchester United" when was asked about whether if he likes to play with Pogba. Umtiti has admitted lying during parts of the discussion. he was asked about whether or not he was going to renew his contract at the Catalan club, to which he replied with labelling the interviewer as a "joker". He gave the same response later in the interview when the journalist asked him if he was signing for Manchester United and he said "If I have spoken with Griezmann while with the national team? No" when he was asked about the potential transfers of Griemzann to Barcelona.

I won't believe this until I see confirmation, I swear if Woodward managed to pull this off, Woodward will be the goat and I'll put images of him on my bedroom and treat like he's a god.

I'm not sure how did you get the conclusion based on that. Umtiti is obviously flirting with us for a new contract, and Griezman has said much more in the past and yet opted not to join. A nothing story in my opinion.

What would these scouts report? Can't imagine they would see anything new or something that would be a dealbreaker.
For a CB; Leadership throughout the game, organisation, their offside line, how quickly they read the situation and movement. The camera doesn't pick up all these qualities (or lack of) when watching on T.V as the broadcasters tend to follow the ball and not individual players.

As @Trizy says above. There's also a big difference between scouting a player to buy him and scouting him as opposition.

I also doubt Evertons director of football watches all our games and focuses on every player.
