Maybe. He looks a broken man at the moment.Going from Harry Kane to Jesus would be like going from actual Jesus to that bearded wan who won the Eurovision a few years back.

I understand what Spurs get from that…I don’t know what Jesus gets. Why would he leave City for a Kaneless Tottenham?100M + Jesus could be good business for them. He can play the Firmino role and free up Son / New RW they can get with 100M.
Ha, my first thought too. Our own Williams is in the same year group for age with about 20+ more games under his belt for the first team, but you just know they'll swindle a price for Neco Williams that we probably wouldn't even be able to match for Brandon. They’ll get at least 70mil for him.
Who is going to buy them and pay massive wages they are on at United?I don’t understand why we don’t sell these players if there is interest. This idea of loaning Williams and Axel makes little sense to me. This isn’t even to criticise the players, but the general strategy of loaning these players out to make room for replacements in their position. What is the point? If we get Trippier and Varane, then what happens to these players when they return from loan in a year? I just don’t understand the concept of trying to buy a right back, but not wanting to sell one that can’t get a game for you, only loan.
This will end up happening, and could be the sort of deal that scuppers potential bargains this window by setting a precedent. We should be moving quickly for out targets.
Consistent first team football, living in London? It's not the most attractive prospect, especially to someone already at City, but if they're that peeved about game time it's a possibility. A Kaneless Spurs for example would mean a 40+ game season for Jesus quite easily.I understand what Spurs get from that…I don’t know what Jesus gets. Why would he leave City for a Kaneless Tottenham?
£100m plus either Sterling, Jesus or Laporte is an incredible deal to be honest.
Not sure Jesus is that peeved? Silva, Laporte and Sterling are the ones reportedly unhappy I think - and all of them would have better options than Spurs you’d imagine.Consistent first team football, living in London? If it was accepted, I actually think it could go the other way. 100m for one of the best strikers in the world, proven top goalscorer year in year out in the Premier League, perfect age, England Captain, that sets the ceiling. So for instance, if someone then wanted 80% of that figure for a player like Rice, or young but not proven potential at that level, and or player who can’t get in his national squad, you’d laugh them out of the room. This will end up happening, and could be the sort of deal that scuppers potential bargains this window by setting a precedent. Can't imagine anyone of those players would accept either. For City, yeah. No way Levy is going to accept it.

With the value of those players, really that bid is worth £150 - £180m. Impressive opener.

Am I the only one not reading that tweet like everyone else?
It doesn't say the player will be added on top of the £100m, just that it's £100m and a player could be included
You'd be hard pressed to find anyone interested at the wages they are on.The teams that are interested in them, I suspect.
No, it’s certainly worded as if it’s £100m guaranteed fee, with a player to be included as well as that. At least with the way Romano has worded it.
Surely there has never been a league where players swap around the top clubs so often as in the Serie A.
Sterling might, He is a london boy, might fancy going homeIt won’t happen because none of those players would join Tottenham anyway but I feel it’s a decent offer. I’d suggest Sterling is worth around 70m-80m so an offer worth around £170m is huge.

I know some on this forum don't rate Sterling that highly but if he is on the Market I am confident he would end up at One of the big Club's not at Tottenham London boy or notSterling might, He is a london boy, might fancy going home

Such a blatant PR brief to put pressure on Real / Varane. Hope it has some merit though, so we dont miss out on both in case.
Is he really back? If Phil is back then you can bet your bottom dollar we won’t sign a new CB.We are saved!
He is certainly good enough for a better club than Spurs, I like the guy, but after a rough year maybe being back home could appeal to him.I know some on this forum don't rate Sterling that highly but if he is on the Market I am confident he would end up at One of the big Club's not at Tottenham London boy or not
He is in his Prime maybe if he was winding down his career it could be something which could appeal to him but at this stage it seems unlikely. He is certainly good enough for a better club than Spurs, I like the guy, but after a rough year maybe being back home could appeal to him.
No he won’t stay fit and if he did he’d be shite for us. He was never great and he hasn’t played in so long that he definitely won’t be up to standardIs he really back? If Phil is back then you can bet your bottom dollar we won’t sign a new CB.
Question: If Phil Jones manages to keep fit next season, do you think he would be good for us?
