Even more surprising is the fact that that this is actually progressing.

Source (Tier 1):

  • Al-Ahli submitted a €25m offer to Newcastle.
  • Al-Ahli is currently discussing a ~ €12m/year salary with Saint-Maximin.
25m euros - don’t get that one I have to say. Maybe they’re planning on using Gordon there and no doubt they’ll reinvest it but it’s a decent player down for them.

25m seems cheap in these days prices.

I actually think Newcastle's business this summer has been really poor which is strange considering how excellent it's been since the Saudi take over. Feels like Gordon might have been a turning point in the wrong way.

Xavi has spoken to Nico and has let him know that it will be difficult to get minutes, that he will have a lot of competition.

The midfielder and the club will now study the offers, either on loan or with a sale with a buyback option.
Porto is the most advanced team and have already contacted Nico's camp about a possible transfer.

Source (Tier 1):
Strasbourg are negotiating with Tottenham for Davinson Sanchez.

There is still no agreement between the parties, especially regarding the player's salary, which more teams are interested in.
The last part is a bit of a weird translation, but it effectively means that the lack of an agreement keeps other teams in the race and gives them some hope of signing the player.

Tier 1:

This is despite Romano's Tweet about an agreement being set.
Inevitably it’ll be agreed at some stage and Romano can claim he was always right and just knew things that Ducker didn’t
