Is he an upgrade on St Maximin ?

No. Will score a few goals for 3 or 4 games in a row and then do nothing for the rest of the season like he does every year. ASM could have been upgraded but this was a poor choice. ASM's a much better dribbler and more creative too even if his end product also isn't good enough.

FFS, where are all these ludicrously low release clauses for up and coming PL talent coming from? If this £35 mil release clause is true we should snap him up for depth if nothing else. Where are Chelsea even going to play him among the other 9 attacking players they've signed in 2023?
