I tried to give my smoke bomb to Adam Sandler, but he wouldn't accept it, then his minder got fecked off.

Why was he there!? Bizarre 5 minute's that was.

I was very impressed by the smoke bombs at the beginning of Deansgate.

Thank you to person that handed me a joint, too. Whoever that was.

Thought the parade was a bad idea, I did.

Thought it would piss down with rain again, I did.

Thought it would be a soggy, miserable send off, I did.

As thunder and hailstones hit in the afternoon, right I could have been.

...

Wrong, I was.

Argue about numbers and what colour Manchester is all you want. Yesterday evening United fans gave others some scenes to try and rip off.

Somebody should post this video at bluemoon. Their heads will explode.

Have there not been any estimates from the police or something about the size of the turnout? I remember seeing figures for the 2011 parade pretty quickly afterwards, but only seen a Twitter number for this one.

That VDO is amazing!!!! Wow. So proud of United fans. So glad I lived in this wonderful city 3 years of my life at university. There is simply no club in the UK who has such a large and genuinely passionate fan base.

Those who could turn up were lucky and did the rest of us proud.

Were there any big aerial pictures? Pretty much everyone seemed to congregate around Albert square once the bus got there, every street seemed absolutely rammed.
Every street? The bus didn't go anywhere near there. :smirk:

Anyway as everybody else has said, great day for Manchester. I stood outside Old Trafford to watch the send off event, didn't go to Albert Square because the GMP tweeted that nobody else was going to be allowed in.

Like a couple other people on here I saw Bobby Charlton go in as well, whereupon about 20 people crowded around to take a photo of the back of his head whilst he was standing at the reception desk. Very bizarre. God only knows what you're meant to do with a picture of the back of his head!
