Was anyone else there when they forced the barrier down on Mount Street? The whole thing was utterly bonkers, and then a couple minutes later this mad fecker turned into Spiderman:

Absolutely buzzing for Fergie. He deserves many more send offs but he probably won't get many better than yesterday and today.

That's me on the building!

If you go back a page, you'll see my videos of the barrier coming down. I couldn't video the spiderman idiot from my vantage point though.

Were there any big aerial pictures? Pretty much everyone seemed to congregate around Albert square once the bus got there, every street seemed absolutely rammed.

Absolutely brilliant. Town was rammed and the pics do it justice. Was in Albert Sq - Carrick and Evra cracked me up. We got our trophy back!

Walked down Cross St and passed outside Citeh store, the crowd was hilarious. Great atmosphere and a great send off for SAF.

The fact that he got up there was less impressive than the way he got down. I would say it must have been fecking terrifying, but based on his dancing up on the balcony I reckon he was completely off his head.

A couple taken from with my phone's camera so they aren't very high quality, but catch the atmosphere really well.

I'd genuinely like a detailed description of both the journey up and down. Did he look like he was good at climbing or just like a loony who could fall at any second? Was he pissed?

He looked fecking hammered. Every single floor he climbed he got up and acted as if he was going to fall off. Was fecking hilarious. What a hero.

One of the best days I've had as United fan today. Got drunk, went to OT, followed the bus and then ended up at Albert Square. Was hilarious. RVP fecking loves it here.

After he'd climbed up to the second storey, the crowd hesitantly cheered because they thought he was a bit off his head. That just encouraged him to go higher. By the time he got to the height in the picture, I think most people were just afraid he'd fall and so cheered him all the way down. He was definitely playing up to the crowd because of the attention.

He was a decent enough climber but it was the size of bollocks that was the most impressive thing. I don't think it was any harder got up the second or third floor than the first, but none of the rest of us was silly enough to try (I'm the guy in the black jacket, second from the right).

His mate in the crowd was absolutely shitting himself that he'd fall.

I saw the daft fecker coming down, to be fair he looked pretty sure of himself. He must have been off his rocker, dancing about on that balcony waving his flag, all the fans on terra firma singing him on. What a nutter!
