I don't know what's the better idea.
a) this thread where we post tweets by ourselves and can sort out the boring stuff - basically the same as now, but the tweets get posted in here instead of the player's performance threads.
b) an automated thread where we can't filter out the pure marketing tweets and can't respond.

I'm with option a.

This is a good idea, and there's no need for an automated thread, just post anything interesting from our players on social media.

I've composed a list of all the first team players I know of on Twitter. You can add from it, or follow the list if you want to keep track of what they say on Twitter. This feed will obviously just the tweets of those players on the list, so if you spot anyone I missed out on, just let me know the handle and I'll add them to the list at once:

Edit: Lists are a great way to create topic specific Twitter feeds by the way. I hardly ever check my "main" Twitter feed, but I've created lists for football, finance news etc. A great content aggregator when used that way.

I advise everyone to do this. Im the same, I barely ever check my main feed.

This could replace the transfer tweet thread when the season gets going? Just showing tweets from our players would be class.

Only time I can see this being a problem, personally, is if we go on a bad run at some point in the season. The last thing I want to see when we're losing is Smalling and Jones 'unwinding with a round of golf' or something. Go and train to defend better. Stop the fun.
