NYC (Before Manchester+Hamburg)
Kick-off: Today 1.00 pm

Apparently at least 5000 people will come.

Hopefully we will see our best team
Starting XI: Kovar - Laird, Bernard, Ercolani, Williams - Garner; Gomes, Barlow - Chong, Greenwood, Bohui
Bench: Fojticek, Mengi, Puigmal, Traore, Levitt, Ramazani & Burkart

But Barlow, Laird, Kovar & Puigmal weren't involved in the last games for the U23 or U18 so hmmhh.

Will be also interesting to see how Gomes, Greenwood, Chong, Garner and Williams will cope with a UEFA-Youth League game after they were involved so much with the 1st team in the last two weeks.

Should we beat Midtjylland then our quarter-final opponent will be Tottenham or FC Porto.

Midtjylland's way to the last 16 Round
Domestic Champions Path 1st Round

Bohemian FC 2-1/2-1
Domestic Champions Path 2nd Round
Hamilton Academical 2-0/2-1
Play-offs
Roma 1-1, 4-2 penalty shoot-out

O'Connor has started every game and he is miles better than either of Bernard or Ercolani.

I don't want Bernard starting over Ercolani. Ercolani isn't some titan, but he has less mistakes in him than Bernard.

----------------Kovar
Laird---Ercolani---O'Connor--Williams
----Gomes----Garner---Barlow
----Chong--Greenwood--Mellor/Traore

Bernard - without trying to be too critical, I can see why Chelsea released him.

How is Bernard starting over Williams? O'Connor is a better CB and that's not even his natural position.

More than 6000 tickets sold, so quite a large crowd considering its a youth game

Will that be a 4-2-3-1 with Garner and Traore in a pivote and Gomes as a 10, or a 4-3-3 with Gomes further back and Burkhardt and Chong tucked in?
Gomes has usually played next to Garner with Garner being furthest back. Usually Traore will be more forward unless Gomes sees an opportunity to join in the attack.

Should be a 4-3-3

Midtjylland have already started pretty dirty  great run by Traore but Burkart offside.

That was dreadful defending, Kovar should have had that.

Gomes and Garner are going to dominate the midfield. Even though Garner has had 2 mistakes, he's largely been positive and showed off his talent with his quick decision making.

6 fouls against us and typically no yellow card. Their keeper flies out and smashes against Laird and gets the foul given to him which is daft, that's far more reckless from the keeper than Laird. We're playing well despite the scorline, just lacking a bit of cutting edge at the moment.
