This starts mid June, seems to be getting little coverage and can't see a thread on here about it. Still always a good watch
England named their squad a few days ago
Gunn (Southampton) D. Henderson (Man. United) Woodman (Newcastle)
Clarke-Salter (Chelsea)
Da Silva (Bristol City/Chelsea)
L. Kelly (Bournemouth)
Kenny (Everton)
Konza (Brentford)
Tomori (Derby/Chelsea)
Wan Bisaka (Palace)
Barnes (Leicester)
Choudhury (Leicester
Maddison (Leicester)
Dowell (Everton)
Foden (Man. City)
Gibbs White (Wolves)
Mount (Derby/Chelsea)
Sessegnon (Fulham)
Abraham (Villa/chelsea)
Calvert Lewin (Everton)
Gray (Leicester)
Nelson (Arsenal/Hoffenheim)
Solanke (Bournemouth)
First thing that strikes me is how creative the midfield options. For so long England had workmanlike midfielders that we saw at last world cup still and yet this under 21 side is overflowing with forward thinking players. Really excited to see how Boothroyd lines up in that area.
Forward options aren't too bad, can play a 4-3-3 no problem. Defence only really has AWB as regular player at top level although guess you drop Sessegnon back to LB. Bit of a dearth of CBs at the moment in seems.
Anyway think England have decent chance of reaching the final.
Luka Jovic is playing in this tournament for Serbia btw. Haven't checked the other squads but there's always some full internationals dropping back, didn't Mata play in this years ago when he was already a regular Spanish international?
One final thing, Italy is mainly hosting this but San Marino get a couple of games. Please tell me they're actually entering a team as that would be brilliant to watch and might actually give them some hope they won't keep getting thrashed for forseeable future.
