Verstappen is being unprofessional here:

Jos Verstappen has launched a scathing attack on his Minardi team and says he cannot wait until the final race in Japan is over.
The Dutch driver has suffered a torrid season with Paul Stoddart's cash-strapped team with no success at all on the track.

Verstappen revealed he though the team was 'terrible' and is looking forward to being able to leave after the final Grand Prix in Suzuka.

He has struggled at the back of the grid right from the first race, with only the weather allowing him to do well in one practice session all season.

"We're doing terrible," he told a Dutch magazine. "The parts on the car are getting obsolete and often fail. It all makes it more difficult for me.

"There's an error in the electronics, too, which sometimes prevent traction control from working.

"It's a mess here. There are no policies. If I was in charge here, I'd fire twenty men. There are far too many people here who should be replaced.

"Perhaps I should not judge about this, but I have been in lots of teams and therefore gained much experience. Minardi beats everything. I'll be very happy when it's all over. I'd rather stay at home. It's not worth it, staying away from there for so long.

"Suzuka is a nice circuit. If we are a bit lucky, we might achieve something there. Anyway, I'm happy that after the race, as my time at Minardi will be over."

As for his future, Verstappen is hoping to land a drive with either Jordan or Jaguar for 2004.

"At Jordan I could perhaps have the team going a bit more my way, but I'd rather drive a Jaguar. It could be difficult in the beginning and I might need to fight even harder, but if I'd have a good race engineer, I think I can come a long way."

if anyone's gonna take anyone out it will be Montoya with his on the track antics. The guy's got a baby-innocent face, but his racing tells the story.

He looks like Michael when Michael bursted into the scenes.. but the guy is way too aggressive.. he doesn't seem to care if he's running another driver off the track.. when Michael and Montoya go wheel to wheel i always have to hold my breath!

Exactly,he's waaay to flash, aggresive and all.People make me laugh when they say Montoya is a exciting driver, you call a madman driving another car off the track exciting?

You know what,Kimi isd the real deal! The new champion,Montoya is just gonna be a nearly man like Mansell

Until the Us Grand Prix I thought Montoya had a really good chance.

Now it is Schumis 6th Championship to lose, I can only see him cruising to that 1 point he needs, Ferrari will check every nut and bolt so that he certainly finishes.

Kimi though is lucky enough not to be under any pressure because he needs Michael to not finish to have a realistic chance of winning the title, so really its all academic now.

On the other hand I would like to see a good race.

he's a crazy man on the track, Montoya. I think he's too eager to win and isn't really thinking about developing into a better driver.. that will be his shortcomings IMO.. but with a car like BMW he WILL have his chances next year.

Kimi I also think will be the real deal.. the guy is cool and calm and is just taking care of himself out there.. it's good to see..

I like Alonso a lot though.. i think they will make good competitors in the future.. i hope Ferrari get Alonso to repalce Michael when he retires..

Villeneuve is a punk ass I tell you. the guy is arrogant and thinks he's still the real deal.. Button showed him time and time again what a better driver he is and Villeneuve just can't take it and blaming the team for his fall from grace.. he deserves his sacking IMO. I doubt any big team will take him on next season unless they're really desperate for some experienced driver..

IMO he made the wrong decision to join BAR in the first place...

Probably was after the big bucks back then.'

Another one where started out with a bang but quickly fizzled out

his championship title somehow doesn't really tell me he's a good driver anymore.. if a driver with a couple of years' experience like Button can pull off some decent performances in a BAR then so should a former World Champ..

his arrogance really gets the better of him.. he should calm down a bit and put the energy to driving good races..

like i said before.. i won't be surprised if some small team picks him up because they are in desperate need to find an experienced driver to test their cars..

Prediction for race:

1.Kimi
2.DC
3.Heidfeld
4.Trulli
5.Alonso
6.Sato
7.Button
8.Webber

I heard tthat McLaren still in with a chance for the constructors so this would be the best possible result

Ok.. i'll give it a go:

1. Barrichello
2. Kimi
3. Alonso
4. MS
5. Montoya
6. Ralf
7. Trulli
8. DC (if he doesn't crash again, if he does then Button)

Michael will drive a safe race.. but he's very good at the Japanese GP and won't lose by a lap - god forbid he doesn't crash out.

Kimi will do his best, but his car will fail him yet again with Barrichello taking top spot.. he's been driving well and since Ferrari is suited to the circuit i won't be surprised to see him win.

Ralk and DC are as usual going to disappoint.

Montoya will try hard, but i don't think he's going to do well in this race.. he's lost a big goal which is winning, so i see him driving like a loser for much of the race - hopefully he won't be looking to bully anyone out of the race.

unbiased enough Melvin? :)

i'm surprised you don't see atleast one of the Ferrari's doing well in this race.. they've been so good at this race in the past years and the track seem to suit them more than other cars too..

that's true.. the guy is cursed i tell you.. but he does do well once in a while and i think this will be his best chance of winning again..

think about it.. all Ferrari needs to do to secure a win for MS is to have atleast one of their cars winning the race.. since MS will be driving a safe race, Barrichello is their hope to secure the win for MS and also clinch the constructors' title too..

I think Schumi will win the race from 14th if it starts raining (according to the weather forecast)

Alternatively, what about the ultimate irony that Montoya wins the race ahead of Raikonen to hand Schumi the World title after Michael crashes out? That would be funny.

or perhaps

God forbid, DC leading from Raikonen near the end of the race, he lets Kimi through and the FIA hands the title to Schumi because of the change in rules - NO TEAM ORDERS!!

it won't be team orders.. DC will step off himself being the prick that he is.. he hates MS enough to give up a race IMO.

Formula One tyre suppliers Michelin say they have received a request from British American Racing to supply the British-based team with its tyres for the 2004 season. BAR currently use Bridgestone rubber.

Michelin already supply Williams, McLaren, Renault, Jaguar and Toyota, but under the current Formula One regulations they must be prepared to equip up to 60 per cent of the grid.

"It is very satisfying for us to see that by asking to use our tyres in 2004, BAR is counting on us to help the team reach the objectives it has set itself for the coming season,” said Michelin Managing Partner and CEO Edouard Michelin.

“This shows that the team shares the opinion widely held by many of the sport's specialists on the performance of Michelin tyres."

Michelin are now studying the resources needed to ensure an efficient collaboration between the French company and BAR.

Meanwhile, Bridgestone, whose contract with BAR runs to the end of 2004, say they are investigating the legal implications of the team's request.
