Vagrant Story.

Set itself up for a sequel, well liked and very well reviewed. Never seen again.

Streets of rage was always a go to for me

the newly streets of rage 4 was actually really good along with tmnt shredders revenge.

The simplicity of a side scroller was fantastic

Football games peaked in that era. An HD remake of PES 3 or 4 (I never played 5 and 6) with the exact same gameplay and options plus the ability to play online would be amazing.

The original RE trilogy. The remakes were great, particularly 1 and 2 but i'd love for them to release the PS1 games for a modern console (like the recent Tomb Raider trilogy).

Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic is the one I get most nostalgic about, that and Battlefront 2.

The Philosophy.
Would a lot of games work now or are they too boring? Frogger, Prince of Persia (2D), Duke Nukem (2D), Slicks n Slide, Micro machines, Sonic, Worms, etc.

Masterpiece from Square. So many SNES JRPGs that I loved growing up. Chrono Trigger, Final Fantasy 6. I'd add Xenogears too on PS1.

Shadow Hearts 1&2.

Sensible Soccer - spent hours over the weekends playing with my mates as a kid.

Lemmings, Batman, Monkey Island and the Dizzy games on Amiga.

Bring back Cannon Fodder! Syndicate, Moonstone, Shadow of the Beast. How they haven't jumped on Chrono Trigger I'll never know. I want another FMV Gabriel Knight ala The Beast Within as well.

So many great shouts already. Scorched Earth took over our college class. Tutors were trying to teach and we'd all be huddled around one comp on SE, Champ Man or playing doom on the lan. Also where I discovered Neo Geo emulators, Turf Masters ftw.

I found a website recently where you can play tons of old games in you browser, not sure if I got it off here or not so I won't post it as I'm not sure of legality etc.. Dm me if you would like to research its legality.

Oh man, I've just remembered.. Ecstatica! The atmosphere in that game alone warrants an updated version.

International Karate? Rings a bell.

I miss GoldenEye64. Best FPS experience for me so far. There was a good copy cat franchise with a woman as the protagonist but that died too.

And there was an open world Robin Hood game for the Amiga which I‘ve played for an hour at my cousin and never again. Stuck in my head.

Loved playing Champions of Norrath with my friends via multitab for PS

Also the old wrestling games, tried playing 2k wrestling the other day and it just didn't do it

Lot of other games obviously as well, we used to play a good war game together but name escapes me, also multitab four together

Guess I just miss couch co-op

Yuris Revenge was the best one

Loved Monkey Island and all the LucasArts games on the IBM originally, Sensible Soccer was great but I used to play this really obsecure game called OneNil, first dip into a management sim then Tactical Manager (usually playing as Forest to start) and Champ Man 94+

Mainly Command & Conquer for me. Specifically the Westwood ones. In a parallel universe, I think Westwood would have been one of the biggest video game dev companies around.

Some of the projects they had pre-financial problems and pre-EA looked very ambitious and ahead of their time. C&C Sole Survivor was like the first MOBA game made and now MOBAs are one of the most played video game genres in the world thanks to League of Legends and DOTA.

No Mercy and WCW vs NWO were elite games on the N64.

Me too, replayed them both (I do not recognise three onwards) ahead of Return and enjoyed them, I even had to cheat at certain points. Loads of retro games still hold up, especially things like side scrolling platformers where the genre was perfected. Even more complicated games, Daggerfall, for example, is essentially Starfield.

I miss a few arcades. My all time favourite was Altered Beast. Shout outs for:

Pacland
Robocop
Operation Wolf
Star Wars

Went to Arcade Club in Bury a good few years back now just to recapture some nostalgia.
