Guardiola would have seen an interesting option. Our team would be better with players like Sane, Bernardo Silva, Laporte, etc.
Guardiola is the best manager in the word hands down, though. Honestly none of these United players would make it into a pep team. Maybe Pogba.

Until Guardiola resigns City are gunna be nippy. You will need over 100 points to win the title.

But Klopp comes close. Klopp is pushing records. It is only a matter of time for Liverpool to win the league

Is there a point in these troll threads? Are we baiting people in their emotional state after a game to earn some warnings or

Klopp has been well supported by a well run club who have identified players that suit his system and splashed out on them when needed.

We'd have signed him Matic, Lukaku to go with Fellaini and sacked him when it didn't work.

I wish we did. He's a top coach and will have been a worthy successor to SAF unlike the 3 other clowns we appointed.

Why should you have hired Klopp? He hasnt won anything with Liverpool yet after 4 years there:lol: The only 2 managers that have beaten Pep Guardiola to the title in a domestic league are Mourinho and Conte.. You tried with Mourinho and it didnt work out as expected.. So may be Conte?

I can't remember why I joined this war.
Difference is in the ownership of the clubs as well. As you might remember Liverpool didn't look too likely to make a comeback to the top teams of the PL under their old owners, only after they got owners who were actually in it to win stuff and not just for the money things changed. They got the right manager and got much more aggressive in the transfer market. Pretty much what City did before.

Klopp wouldn't come here because we won't let a manager build a team.

Dortmund & Liverpool are two ex giant clubs that had been in the underground for ages so were willing to be patient staring as under dogs.

United and its fans are way too inpatient for Klopp.

Made the correct decision for himself going for Liverpool.

Think he was right to refuse anyway. Would have ended like our previous managers and how the current manager is going to end as well. Our managerial position is a poison chalice.

Klopp would've flopped here too. The problem is Ed and the club's structure. At Liverpool they have fantastic scouts and even football scientists to help Klopp with everything.

although pep would be my number 1 choice (obviously), klopp is still a class manager. you see how much chamberlain has improved under him. look how henderson has improved under him. klopp would have won the league with the united 2013 team. the squad fergie left

Actually they were still signign the likes of Benteke and Ings before Klopp came along, I think that was part of the reason Rodgers had to go.

Why hire Klopp when we can get a better manager in Pochettino? No point in looking backwards when we can still get a manager that is better than Klopp. If Klopp didn’t sign Van Dijk, his season would have been no different to Brendan Rodgers.

Klopp would've managed this team better, lets not forget he's made some really smart signings in Mane, Salah, Wijnaldum etc who have been vital to the growth of the team, while we have spent similar amounts on managers who have not worked out at all. Besides Alisson and Van Dijk, all other signings haven't been at the exuberant level we have seen with Lukaku/Pogba. You can argue that it has been because of Alisson and Van Dijk that they are where they are but don't forget they still made two consecutive top 4 finishes as well, along with a Europa League and Champions League final.

He was given a poorer team than what Jose/Van Gaal were given but he's made the right signings to improve them.

Still, what the hell is the point of discussing this? There is no chance in hell he'l join us now or in the near future.

Klopp is a good manager. But his match and post-match antics/excuses are highly dislikable.

Beside that, I see him more similar to Simeone and Conte than Pep, which are all good managers.

For now, leave Ole, but some clear strategy must be created in the club in order to progress in the coming years.

Otherwise, United will be new Liverpool.

Two successive CL semi finals and his team sits on 91 points with two games to play. All the while playing exciting football.
And he has less trophies to show for it than our failures: Jose and LVG.

Doesn't matter mate - he has clearly made progress. Have we?

Just because we won a couple of trophies and they haven't doesn't mean a thing. They play exciting football and clearly have a vision. Again. Do we?

Was my pick way back when. At that point a lot of posters didnt like him because Dortmund werent doing great that season after having a really good one. Dunno what the truth is about our interest in him but yeah I think he'd have been a success
