Blaming fans who took a part in a protest for lost games , aww thats cute.
3 Points to Liverpool, that was the whole purpose.Opposed to the other thread in the Forum.
We've lost two league games in a row, mainly becuase of our fixture list (thanks to the first protest outside Old Trafford before Liverpool game on May 2). Apart from some media coverage (mainly becuase the game was supposed to be on Sky) and possible points deduction if this happens again... but what has the fans' protest actually won us?
Wny not boycott the Europa League final if this is the way people want to protest?
New low for the cafBlaming fans who took a part in a protest for lost games , aww thats cute.
Why not? Will the protestors also protest when Saudis try to buy the club?
What a gripe to haveBeing completely honest I am frustrated that nothing has been done for years by the fans. Then once we are finally looking on the up since Fergie retired the fans decide to rally up. The fixture pile up caused has been to the detriment of the team, not the Glazers.
Couldn’t they have done this whilst LVG was in charge?
Agreed. I am backing Ole next season and I think due to whats gone on he will be backed with 2-3 elite players coming in to combat Chelsea Liverpool and City. If this happens and we dont challenge again then it will be time to look elsewhere. If you just take those two achievements in isolation then I agree with you. However using oles ten year managerial cv or even just his man utd cv then I'd argue there are plenty of limitations. And this is of course with our goals being consistently winning or challenging for the big trophies. Next season is put up or shut up time I think all united fans agree on that.
2-3 elite players is a bit much to expect. He'll have to find a few hidden/less fancied gems and get the job done. No club is giving their team 3 ready made elite players right now. Ole has to get it done with constraints everyone hasAgreed. These are just type of fans the Glazers want as their consumersThis
Never change caf
Because fans have a blinkered view to things like that. What binds fans together in situations like this is ‘ what is best for the club’ not a social conscience or moral outrage. City’s fans are happy to stay quiet as long as their owners are invested in the club and back the coach. If we had Saudi owners or Pablo Escobar I doubt if there’d be mass protests if they were backing the club. It’s a cynical view but I don’t have the faith in peopleWhy not?
Alright. Thanks. Don't care.Because fans have a blinkered view to things like that. He’s right though. Are you going to protest if the Saudis come sniffing round? Did Newcastle fans?Alright. Thanks. Don't care.
Let's see you protest when the Arabs come before showing us your cynicism forwards fans who actually make an effort.
We’ve long since moved away from the club being connected too and an integral part of the community.I love these fans. I hate the fans that have never seen the club or stadium once and all they do is complain about the players we have after every single loss and how we should be more like Chelsea or Manchester City, doing it from the internet having never felt the heart of old trafford or it’s specific type of players.
I didn't even protest against the glazers. I did buy a share from must as a token effort in 2005 when I was 20. Would do the same now. He’s right though. Are you going to protest if the Saudis come sniffing round? Did Newcastle fans?
That’s all very good but doesn’t make him any less right.I didn't even protest against the glazers. I did buy a share from must as a token effort in 2005 when I was 20. Would do the same now.
Then again I don't claim to be here sitting in India an equal of fans who put their necks on the line to raise their voice for the club.
And finally this is classic deviation tactics from lazy fecks who want to make a point, trot off and do feck all themselves. The glazers have run off with a billion of the club's money and are running us poorly. And fans standing up against that deserve our support and respect.
Not "butttt what if it were Saudis huh huh??"
Or intact, right. Or at all relevant to this thread. There's a Saudi thread for you guys to have blast with hypotheticals in.That’s all very good but doesn’t make him any less right.
I swear a lot of our fanbase deserve these owners. Ruining their evenings entertainmentBlaming fans who took a part in a protest for lost games , aww thats cute.
No I’m not ‘an example’. Nor do I want Saudis or anyone else similar to plasticise us. I want my club back. This is what annoys me. You are an example of the people who are doing these protests saying it is for the good of the club yet who will turn around and accept blood money from the Saudis because it means we can buy who were want and be another City
As shit as a player like Mctominay maybe - I love watching a manager like SAF or someone else give these players a chance before eventually making their own decision Whether they are good enough or not. We have only ever won 3 CL’s in our time and each one has had a United squad ethos that has been beautiful to watch, either we build something from our youngster like La Masia or to add to it we add players from the local national teams to feel that dedication from every slide tackle. All we have is fans crying about every single player being some sort of deadwood or flop until they turn the corner like Shaw or even wan bissaka to people giving up on rashford. We’ve long since moved away from the club being connected too and an integral part of the community.
You can blame it on going public or global commercialisation but it was always going to happen. When SAF took over he knew the vast potential of what was a sleeping giant. We already had an enormous global fan base, self generated income, that word ‘heritage’. Once we tapped that, it took off and Utd commercially were quite happy to exploit it
Apologies if it bothers you that a thread about what protests have achieved might stray onto a discussion about what these protests are hoping to achieve.Or intact, right. Or at all relevant to this thread. There's a Saudi thread for you guys to have blast with hypotheticals in.
70 points in 36 matches, less than 2 points per match. Knocked out of UCL in group stage. This seems so knee jerk. Ole has done as well as any other manager could have done with the current squad this season. It's been a shit week, but hardly surprising we've lost both those games.
But then why is the business partnership between SA and United ok? Like I asked previously is it ok to work with them but not be owned by them? https://www.manutd.com/en/news/detail/manchester-united-agree-strategic-partnership-in-saudi-arabiaThis is what annoys me. You are an example of the people who are doing these protests saying it is for the good of the club yet who will turn around and accept blood money from the Saudis because it means we can buy who were want and be another City
Agree. And who is to say it's over? That was a protest. There can be many more. It’s done a lot. It’s got the owners pretending to care about fans. It’s motivated political figures. It’s been joined by the likes of Gary Neville. It will go on as Roy Keane said. Some incidental benefits; it seems to have flushed out the shills and plastics in the Caf.
ha they don't see the big picture or the real purpose of what the protestors are trying to accomplish. It all boils down to selfishness.Just like how Rosa Parks made some people late for work
Just like how Rosa Parks made some people late for work
football clubs means the world to a lot of peopleRight because the Glazers owning United is exactly the same kind of issue Rosa Parks was dealing with
Whether I protest or not. You won’t be around to see me. I’ve long since given up my season ticket and membership after 40 years of going home and away. And I’ve probably made more of an effort than most. If you care to put your self righteous cards on the table and show us what you’ve done personally, I’ll take my hat off to you.Alright. Thanks. Don't care.
Let's see you protest when the Arabs come before showing us your cynicism forwards fans who actually make an effort.
Of course it is.This is about more than money spent on transfers for those protesting.
