Bruno Fernandes and Amad are the only ones who can leave the pitch with any pride. They’re the only attackers consistently creating chances and trying to drag this broken frontline forward.
The rest? Not good enough, not even close.
Garnacho has talent but no patience or maturity. Every time he gets the ball, he looks like he’s trying to score the goal of the season instead of making the smart play. There's no composure, no understanding of game management.
The biggest hole in the squad is obvious. We don't have a competent number 9. And it’s killing us.
Zirkzee is a luxury player, all technical flair, no fight. He strolls around with casual body language while defenders sprint past him. In key moments, he glides instead of attacking the ball with intent. For all his fancy touches, his goal return is pathetic for a striker at a club this size. He should be bullying defenders with his size and skill, but instead, he hides from contact and plays soft. Pretty football means nothing without goals.
Hojlund is full of energy, but energy alone doesn’t make you elite. His first touch is terrible, his link-up play is nonexistent, and he panics in front of goal. His runs are predictable — straight-line sprints that defenders can easily read. With his physical tools, he should be dominating defenders, not getting muscled off the ball or throwing himself to the ground looking for fouls. Right now, he's not leading a line he's surviving it.
Mount has been a disaster. He runs around with no direction, no purpose. Not a 10, not an 8, not anything. His decision-making is poor, his execution is worse, and when we need someone to take control of a game, he vanishes. Injuries have ruined any rhythm he might have had, but the truth is, even when he’s fit, he doesn’t produce anything meaningful.
Chido is still just a kid, so it’s unfair to expect more from him. But it says a lot that a teenager looks more fearless than some of the senior players.
And then there’s Rashford, Antony, and Sancho three players who were supposed to be starters but delivered absolutely nothing. They’re paid like world-beaters and perform like afterthoughts. Excuses have run out.
What’s wrong? It’s brutally simple these players aren’t good enough.
No system, no coach, no tactical tweak can hide the fact that most of them lack the intelligence, work rate, mentality, and technical quality required at Manchester United. Until we replace them, we’re not competing for anything serious.
