If Jose leaves, having got top 4, we won't spend and it won't matter who the manager is.
There is a fallacy that if a club does not spend big a in year 1 that will spend big in year 2. This is not the case. Remember when Ronaldo was sold? Did we go out and spend big that year or the year after? No. The money goes straight into the shareholders' pockets.
What about Arsenal. They did not spend big for many years. After that, did they go and spend £500M in 1 season? No. That money went to the shareholders and in Arsenal's case, to fund the payments for the stadium build.
We have probably saved about £100M this Summer and we the fans, are not going to see this money, ever again. Woodward will probably pick up a big bonus and Glazers may buy a new yacht/mansion.
