what odds do you get for Spain & Aguero?

Argentina's group is a breeze for them!! if he stay injury free for the 3 games he should have at least 3 or 4 goals against Bosnia, Iran and Nigeria!!
200/1 on Bet Victor, 250/1 Bwin.

Good odds there.

How do Argentina line up? Does Aguero not play from the left with Higuain central? Hard to see him getting top scorer if he's playing out of position, especially since he's a crock.

With a group like that, Argentina also good at 4/1 to be top scoring team.

I'm thinking of a Spain/Top Scorer bet but I am unsure on the top scorer. Would it be Aguero or Messi for Argentina? Would Costa score many goals or should I go Spain/Neymar.

Maybe I should just put a tenner on all of them and hope one of them wins :wenger:

Just got on Messi top scorer @ 16/1, enhanced odds at Paddy Power. There's no reason not to bet on that

Spain top 3 finish 2/1 and Argentina top scorers at 4/1 look decent to me.

PP and Bet365 aren't taking doubles on golden boot/outright winner, you have to take their dedicated bets they have made up for them, which have drastically shitter odds. Are other online bookies allowing it? PP also wouldn't let my mate do a double in shop, however another mate did it in a different branch, but the teller in the branch that wouldn't take it told my mate that the other lad's bet would only be taken at the set odds rather than the combined odds in the double? However, I went on to PP's online chat and was told the bet would be taken at the combined odds. All in all very confusing.

I'd be surprised if any other online bookie lets you put money on a double rather than a single on the winner/golden boot market. The odds are a lot worse because they're related markets, say for example Messi is top scorer...you'd expect Argentina to have a better chance.

To update my previous post, my friend rang PP and they said that the odds of the set bet they have created for golden boot/outright winner will be given because it's a related bet, i.e the more games Argentina play to become winners the more chances Messi will have to score, so you can't get the double odds on it.

Just got on Messi top scorer @ 16/1, enhanced odds at Paddy Power. There's no reason not to bet on that
Where did you find this? I can't see it anywhere online.

Should keep an eye on that power play part of Paddy Power's website. They're not all good but you get some tasty odds now and then.

Stuck some on Ivory Coast to win their group at 5.50, 3rd favourites behind Colombia and Japan. Relying on Falcao to drop out/play rubbish whilst injured, and Kagawa, Honda, Yaya Toure to continue their respective club forms.

Looking at these games for the group stages.

Chile vs Australia - 1/2

Columbia vs Greece - 4/7

Japan vs Greece - 7/5

France vs Honduras - 1/4 (I know)

Bosnia vs Iran - 4/7

Russia vs Algeria - 4/6

Belgium vs Algeria - 2/5

USA vs Germany - 3/10

Croatia vs Mexico - 23/20

Also Spain to win their group at 8/11

Pre-WC friendlies haven't gotten off to a great start for me, fecking Estonia couldn't beat Gibraltar. Need Belgium to win both halves vs Luxembourg to earn back those losses.

I think Croatia vs Brazil opening day have great odds. Croatia at 8/1! A draw no bet on Croatia is worth a look I think. They have a much better midfield, and a lot of opening group matches are draws.

Dzeko could be worth a punt for top goalscorer. Bosnia have an easy group (even Argies are very vulnerable in the back, particularly in the air). So, minimum of 4 games guaranteed for him I think, could easily score 5/6. Watch him miss sitter after sitter now....

Betvictor have a special bet for Australia to get 0 points at the world cup...odds are 13/8. Seems like a good bet to me. Hard to see them getting anything against Holland, Chile and Spain.

Paddy Power have two very good online specials at the moment.

Bet £/€10 on outright winner and get a free £/€5 bet on the first game.

Bet £/€20 on top goalscorer and get a free £/€5 every time your selection scores!

Conflicting liabilities won't allow.
The guy who got the multiplied odds won't get paid out if he wins. The 'conflicting liabilities' from bookies is a con that they often apply to non-contingent events. Their logic is that 'if the team progresses the odds on golden boot get shorter' which is true - but the counter logic is that the team could get knocked out in which case the odds would notionally get much longer.

What do you good people think between a punt on Aguero as top scorer or backing Higuain? Obviously Aguero is the better player but how do Argentina set up? I'm assuming both start for them. Plus there's the fact that Aguero has been a bit of a crock lately.
Gonna back one of them and double it up along with Spain to win the tournament.

Today's enhanced offer is Ronaldo top scorer at 16/1 (up from 14/1), which is the best odds available according to Oddschecker. Pretty good chance of getting to the 1/4s at least

I placed £10 on Spain to win the cup at odds 7.5

Also get a £20 free bet out of it so placed it on Argentina to win the cup also at odds 5.0

Also thinking about putting £10 on Messi for top scorer.

Is Dzeko still 100/1 for the golden boot?

Scored two last night vs Ivory Coast. If Bosnia get anywhere (I think they'll get to the knock outs), then Dzeko will be the man scoring the goals. They have Nigeria and Iran in their group. Might be worth £1.

Since 1974, 5-8 goals was enough for the golden boot.

EDIT - He's at 66/1 now.

Also, does anyone know how the knock out rounds after the group stages work? Which group qualifiers play which group?

1st of group A play 2nd of group B; 2nd of group A play first of group B etc...

So I was thinking of laying small multiple bets on a straight forecast for each group. Do the bookies have a problem with you betting on several different outcomes or do they have rules on this?

No, they have no problem with it, because if you bet on different outcomes for the same events, then you're guaranteeing some of them will lose, so the bookies win.

I've done a quid on a tri cast in each group

£2 EW on France to win World Cup (should have waited now that Ribery is out of World Cup)

£3 each way on Germany to win

£5 on aguero golden boot @ 25/1

Amazed so many of you are still able to bet with Paddy Power. They have limited me faster than any other bookie. Guess the slightest suspicion of a 'professional' bet is enough for them to pull the plug.

Some useful information on Chile: http://www.clubgowi.com/content/clubgowi-world-cup-betting-preview
They've been fine for me, and the only thing I use them for is their enhanced odds offers which you'd think would get you limited.

Bet Victor were the worst for me. Placed a bet on Jesé to score at like 4.00 (everyone else was about evens) and that was my account finished :D

I doubt all the guys here are "professional" bettors. At least when I see the amount of favo combos been posted on here...

I think Spain @8 is good value, they're no worse than Germany or Argentina.
Then, I have Italy @30, their defense can bring them far, heavy group but after that, it's possible.
Other than that, I haven't been too much into it, there sure are some good special offers but I'll look that up right before the start.

My prediction for the two teams going through from each groups returns 1141/1, might put a quid on it
