Absolutely Fabulous probably worst show/comedy I've seen. Far worse than Mrs Brown's Boys.

I love Noel Fielding but 'Luxury Comedy' was a David Moyes sized flop.

I’m not sure if I ever seen a less accurate “historical” TV-show. Those “historians” that appear every 5 minutes to spur another portion of bullshit are also incredibly annoying. I mean, they show the Red Square from 1905 and there’s Lenin’s mausoleum right in the middle of it. You know, the man that is going to lead a revolution that would overtake and kill the main characters of the show? The amount of questionable sex scenes are also over the top. I don’t have anything against sex scenes in TV shows btw, just don’t make them look like a 12 y.o. girls wet dream.
Fair enough. I’m not educated on the finer details of that period other than Lenin led the revolution and that the tzars got shot. I actually don’t remember much from the show so I guess my mind isn’t that tainted.

I'm not usually the one to dig into historical inaccuracies, but there were just so many — and absolutely ridiculous ones, that any Russian child can point out, let alone a historian. But they kept promoting it as a historical series with constant narrative intrusions from the supposed specialists (I'm not a fan of the format itself as well, either do a documentary, or commit to the drama and do a full immersion like The Crown and so many others did), which they had found god knows where.

I'm not really a big fan of Romanoffs, so there's no personal feelings involved, but it's such a colourful time with tons of unique and interesting characters, you can really do a real-life Game of Thrones show based on 10-15 years from the 1905... and they feck it up so massively that it's not really enjoyable as a drama and horrifyingly inaccurate from the historical perspective.

They even called the daughters of Montenegro's king "black princesses" because of a mistranslation in English wikipedia (someone who translated an article from the Russian wiki clearly wasn't a native speaker). I mean, they seriously used wikipedia as their source material without even checking the links!

Any recommendations for an accurate documentary of that period?

Surprised at how many people have said Big Bang theory. I love that show. Seasons 4-7 were the best before and after it was poor.

Agreed on Mrs browns boys though, that is by far THE worst show there’s ever been. Not even remotely funny.

Frankly, no idea :(

It became so shit closer to the end that the mentions are justified. It was really great, especially since it broke the usual sitcom format (same number of male and female counterparts) and used jokes about science and nerd culture... but it became a parody of itself. A horrible parody of itself (especially when even Sheldon got himself a girlfriend).

It's so hard to judge.. I mean, there's plenty of shows I just stopped watching because it was shite, but if I didn't see every episode I don't feel like I can fully classify it as the worst.

It's probably one of Love Island, Only Way is Essex, Big Brother, Ibiza Weekender or whatever the other ones are called though.

Peppa Pig, at least for any parents of young kids.

She's a little cnut, in fact everyone in it is a cnut.

Can't watch an episode without getting an uncontrollably urge to gorge on sausages.

Pretty much any reality TV. Especially contestant-based stuff like Britain's Got Talent and X Factor, and celeb shite like Strictly Come Dancing and Dancing On Ice. feck all that noise.

As for real, scripted TV, Joey might be the worst sitcom I've ever seen. If you think Friends is the worst TV show, you must not have seen Joey. Hideous.

Will Arnett really tarnished his rep with The Millers. That was some total sellout bollocks. He managed to bring himself back from the brink with Bojack I guess.

Mike and Molly. 25 minutes of self deprecating fat jokes. Awful.

That 80's Show. I remember liking That 70s Show when I was in college, but the spinoff (or whatever it actually was) was awful. Funny seeing Glenn Howerton as such a shitty formulaic character though.

Glee and 2 Broke Girls are solid shouts too.

The show that makes me question everything is Impractical Jokers. 4 guys who have been doing some hidden camera pranks for decades but still manage to seem embarrassed by everything they have to do in this show. It's quite popular, that astounds me.

2 broke girls is awful. Glee is just a checklist for PC culture, nothing of substance behind that.

Hannah Montana was particularly uncomfortable to watch. I know these shows aren't made for higher arts but seeing this creepy thirty year old guy playing her 16 year old brother and interacting with other teenagers was just foul.

Agree with the ones already mentioned such as Friends, Mrs Brown’s Boys, Big Bang Theory etc.

One that I will add to the list is Modern Family. Absolutely awful show.

Life’s Too Short

Ricky Gervais pushing his luck with the mockumentary formula and burning his wings flying too close to the sun. Really lazy show. Its basically Warwick Davis doing an unfunny David Brent impression in a shitty version of Extras.

I thought MF is cleverly written. Not over the top humour, but more subtle.

2 Broke Girls isn't just offensively unfunny. It's offensive, full stop. It can never be mentioned enough in this thread. Kat Dennings has spectacular tits, though.

Season 8 of Game of Thrones (and the couple of seasons before that to some extent) was so shite it ruined the entire show forever. The first season might be the best season of any television show ever, but I can never watch it again because of the trainwreck it becomes.

I want to add The Walking Dead, just for the fact that it's still fecking going. I watched it when it first started, but fizzled out during season 5 or 6, I think. It just became so boring and repetitive that I had to tap out for my own good, so I don't actually know if the recent seasons are worth watching or not, but considering how drastically the quality fell off a cliff after season 2 and just kept falling I'm guessing they aren't. Now they're apparently making season 11, so that's about six unnecessary seasons of beating what I'm assuming is an unbearably dead horse.

I loved the Gilmore Girls! so I have to disagree with you there, and also you have very cool daughters!

The Gilmore Girls was actually a guilty pleasure of mine years ago. I started watching it when it came out with my girlfriend at the time, then as she stopped watching it for whatever reason after a few episodes, I realised that I was already needing my next fix of Lauren Graham and old Stars Hollow.

The mum and daughter cutesy clever banter thing is not to everyone's liking, but I'm glad I stuck with it for all 7 or whatever series it had.

It's way better than all the shows mentioned in this thread, and just checked it has 8.1/10 on IMDB rating.

Melissa McCarthy, Jared Padalecki and Milo Ventimiglia are in it, along with the head vampire from The Lost Boys. And did I mention a hot Lauren Graham :D

Entourage. I once lived with a guy that would watch this religiously and could hear him cracking up every episode. He'd rave about how amazing it was and would be downloading every episode the moment it was out. I thought I'd give it a watch and couldn't even finish the first episode - what a crock of shite.
Ari Gold is comedy gold to be fair though. Johnny too. I enjoyed watching it personally. I've seen much worse.

Pretty much any soap. What absolute tosh. How people can get into watching these day after day week after week is beyond me.

Each to their own! But if we get locked down here due to Coronavirus I am banning it from our telly!! I'll get my daughters to PM you for sympathy :D
