So Ole will be judged on title charge? People who are for Ole, is that the minimum requirement that Ole has to fulfill?
It should be. The only progress worth anything after finishing 3rd is mounting a title challenge... Hell, the last time we were even close to doing it was in Jose’s second season, and we did it after finishing 6th.

Anything less is objectively solidifying the lowering of our standards.

Deluded backing that's what it is
Well it's deluded but there are at least standards, albeit idiotic and deluded. We now know the needs top 4, 3-4 transfer windows to challenge is fanficition. Look forward to our title challenge campaign lads. He'll fall short but maybe he can win a cup on his way out. Otherwise Ole could end up the only manager since SAF retired to oversee (three) consecutive trophyless seasons at the club.

Well LVG managed to win the FA Cup on his way to a sacking so yeah he could win that or maybe emulate Jose and win the League Cup instead.

Fun fact. If United lose vs City, then United will be on pace for 66 points this year. You know, the same point total they ended up with the past 2 seasons.

Having Ole as your manager is the same as if you hired these people :
1. Current Molde Manager
2. Ryan Giggs
3. Michael Carrick
4. Gary and Phil Neville
5. Roy Keane
6. Steve Bruce
7. Mark Hughes
8. Paul Scholes
9. Wayne Rooney
None of you would accept any of those cnut as United manager so i don't know why there are still united fans who support Ole, these people have the same credential as Ole which is either from tinpot league or an ex player literally , there are no difference among them.

As of Saturday United has the most points in the league over the last 24 games.

Claim whatever crap you want about Ole but do not pretend it's about results.

As of now, we have the 6th most points this season.
We’ve lost 1 of every 3 games we’ve played in all comps, losing to mighty Palace, Istanbul, a home humiliation to the guy we fired and dumped out of the CL in the group.

“Results”.

Do we get a trophy for that? Because as I can see we are out of the CL and sit in an impressive sixth place in the PL

He ain't going nowhere any time soon until it is mathematically not able to get champions league football.
It will be the same old procedure from the heirarchy.
Gonna be a death by a thousand slashes.
Be interesting yo see how much money he is given in January if any?

So why aren't we top of the table? It's almost like there are other factors at play here

Still can't believe he played three at the back with two DM's and didn't change it until half-time despite going 2-0 down after 13 minutes. Then he brings off our attacking LB and leaves on a more defensive player in Shaw. Of all the feckups he's made this game takes the cake.

It’s not about Ray of light, it’s about calling out pure bullshit.

I personally think he’s done just about enough in the league so far to hang on through December and see where he’s at come the January window. But bullshit is still deluded bullshit, better we’re all honest about this season so far. So far it’s been a poor start, but fortunately the league is wide open this season.

Some need to change the record, Olé is doing a decent job and for those who'll say we don't look like we're dominating, we don't run the ball ala thenewmanageriwantinstead, tough shit. 6/10 times you wake up in the morning, your wife... who is now both the porn star you imagine in bed, the super model you've always wanted but her mother in law is still the same... offers you whatever good morning you want. Yet because it's not 8/10 times, you want a divorce... give me a break.

It's a forum mate, log out, skip the thread or stick me on ignore. The World is your oyster. I'd recommend you ignore anyone who dares to doubt Ole, it'll be a dream forum for you with your confirmation biases being reaffirmed constantly :drool:

I don't think I'm being bias. I believe the team is the 3rd or 4th strongest. We came 3rd last season and this season we'd be 4th if we win our game in hand and level on pts with 3rd place.

So I actually believe we are roughly where we should be.

That's not my fault you lot have expectations that aren't realistic. If we had the strongest team in the league and we were where we are I'd not be happy either. However I'm grown up enough to understand the task Ole has.

Ask any Liverpool fan how many of our players they would want.

Let's flip that question on it's head. What would Ole get out of a midfield of Henderson, Wijnaldum and Jones? The midfield that beat Wolves 4-0 and Ajax 1-0.

You can lead a horse to water and all that.

Klopp gets more out of players many would consider worse than ours. Your view is just skewed by how bad we've been, but that's not because of the players.

I said this many times and I'll say it again, there is absolutely no way Ole is getting sacked anytime soon, certainly not till top 4 is over mathematically. We might as well just close this thread till then.

I don't disagree with you. If you can get Jurgen on the blower to come take charge I'm all for it.

I think he's quite happy where he is sadly.

Do those tweets feel like a knife in the chest to everyone else too? I predicted we wouldn't sack him no matter what, because of how it reflects on Woodward. But to actually hear it from the club makes me feel sick.

They better be prepared to spend hundreds of millions on this team, bringing in players that do all the organising and thinking for themselves on the pitch (like Bruno), if they want titles under Ole. That's the only way, and its going to be a frustrating road where the fanbase will tear itself apart and our club will become a laughing stock along the way.
Who said it came from the club? Don't believe everything you read particularly from certain journalists.

There are other managers that get more out of less. Even just a quick look at the table and you see Leicester up there again, Southampton up there. Villa with 2 games in hand which would put them around 4th. And that's just in the PL. Lepizig have a collective far, far worse than we have and, well...

You ignored this yesterday but Klopp is working with a Newcastle CM, a Southampton winger, a failed Chelsea winger, a Wolves striker, a Hull City LB & Jordan Henderson.

Klopp though innit, he doesn’t need ready made World Class players, never has.
Meanwhile Solskjaer has spent £145 million on Maguire, AWB and Dan James. Great value for money. And people want him as our DoF.

Why is everyone on here so convinced Henderson is shit? Klopp made him captain and hes got quite a few caps for the NT too.

Id take him over any of our midfieders

He’s clearly quality, now, since Klopp.

was the same at Dortmund though, fecker fooled us Mihki & Kagawa were World Class, fooled Madrid that Sahin was.

Because Klopp gets the best out of his players. You know like the opposite of what Ole is doing at the moment bar Bruno.

There are other managers out there that make their team considerably better than they look on paper. Like the 33 year old from Germany we played recently against. Makes fecking Sabitzer look good. But I guess he is too "hipster" and also doesn't get the "United way" of subbing three defenders when we need goals

man we replaced lukaku with ighalo, Pogba half out the door and didn’t get him a right winger. Why aren’t people getting this? The summer was a disaster as far as the start of this season is concerned. The board dropped the ball so much that we are waiting for an 18 year old to come in and make the RW his own. Most the major problems at the club predate ole and if we fire him they will continue as they were under every other manager. Ole is the best manager out there with connections to when we were last successful. I would rather take my time with him and hope he gets top 4 this season. What’s stopping us hiring the wrong manager again? Another 3 years down the drain... Ole is working with one hand tied behind his back (for a club of our size and ambitions) and he’s doing ok.
You should look at the performances in detail.
If you think we are well drilled and look like were a team then youve got low standards.

The players are lost. Doesnt matter if they are world class level or league two level. They are not organised and they are poorly coached. Its obvious. Thats on the manager and support staff.
The quality of player at the club should be doing alot better

I reckon we're 2 games away from this thread hitting 1000 pages. 1 game if we lose to City.

How many pages did the equivalent threads under Moyes, Van Gaal and Mourinho get? I reckon Mourinho's was the shortest because he crashed and burned so quickly.

Why do people still think all Liverpool's bargain buys are down to Klopp? He even had to be convinced to take Salah. Liverpool's scouting is second to none.

That's a good point, Amir. We really don't want to be going back to the sad days of Moyes, LvG, and Jose. I at least look forward to games since Ole became the manager.
Interesting. Apart from Moyes, Ole is my least favourite United manager post Ferguson.

I don't take much pleasure form an outdated 90's style approach of hoping that by giving the ball to Bruno, he can do something with it. That's a real early 90's PL style. Give the ball to Cantona, Le Tissier, etc. When the classic #10 was the main creative hub of the team.

Football has evolved now. It's more like Chess at the highest level. Top coaches reacting to their counterparts actions. React.

Leipzig's main creative outlet the other night was their LWB. Creativity can comes from multiple positions now.

Wait, are people now considering Klopp to be some kind of transfer genius? Don't get me wrong: Klopp is comfortably the best manager in the world. But most of his successful signing are no-brainers or "compromises" that turned out well. I always thought that Salah was the one player he got absolutely spot on

Not saying that he's bad or even mediocre when it comes to transfers, btw.
