Ok I had a look, this threads not been done in over 10 years. Was just thinking of this because a more recent film seems have to crept into mine. Mostly base mine on what I just enjoy rewatching the most... Personal entertainment rather than whatever nerdy critics would technically judge a 'quality' movie.

No real order here for me, the top 2 interchangeable, the other 3 I'd put together also.

Heat
Last of the Mohicans.
Edge of Tomorrow
Top Gun: Maverick
Pulp Fiction

No, I don't care about your other 10-20 or whatever gets close. There's a ton trying to get into the top 5 for me, tough, I know its difficult, choose 5.

The Godfather
The Godfather II
Pulp Fiction
Apocalypse Now

I can't decide the 5th spot. I could pick any of The Deer Hunter, Shawshank Redemption, Goodfellas or Heat depending on my mood.

3. Goodfellas
4. The Green Mile
5. Toy Story 3

Top three seemed straightforward. Hard thereafter.

We did this on the annual thread not so long back didn't we? Would be interesting to see how many of our picks correlate to our picks in there.

Gladiator

I probably wouldn't have chosen Gladiator normally but I watched it for the first time in many years and it is a very good film. One of the great historical epics. In much the same way Saving Private Ryan is a great WW2 epic. Both a bit loose with history, but really well made, great cinematography and bloody good fun.

Oppenheimer was excellent but far too recent to include on the one watch. I loved The Deer Hunter when I first watched it but much at all when rewatched.
