Not good enough, never ever impressed me in reserves/youth.
It's pretty fecking obvious what the issue is. Morrison has severe behavioural issues, Pogba is not committed to United and Fryers simply isn't good enough.Wouldn't call it shite, but yeah seeing so many youngsters leave is worrying. You start to wonder what's going on.
Is Norwood off??Just dropping that in here, if Zeki, Pogba, Norwood all leave and you add in Matty James and Morrison leaving then we're not doing something right when SAF has talked about us having to bring players through.
Yeah, he said on twitter he will not be resigning and will look for a team at championship level, that will give him more playing time.Is Norwood off??
Not at all.Just dropping that in here, if Zeki, Pogba, Norwood all leave and you add in Matty James and Morrison leaving then we're not doing something right when SAF has talked about us having to bring players through.
Found that really weird, why not do it on loan from us? His final point "sometimes you have to be realistic" indicates to he has no expectation of ever being United quality, in which case fair enough.Yeah, he said on twitter he will not be resigning and will look for a team at championship level, that will give him more playing time.
Norwood isn't good enough for United - and he is not 18 anymore. You can't blame him for wanting to leave. I thought he was out of contract but Coventry said they had a bid rejected but hoped they could reach a deal with United. So maybe they offered £300k or so - and we hope for £700-800kFound that really weird, why not do it on loan from us? He is out of contract but he's under the age of 24 and we've offered him a new deal on the same (or better) terms which means we're due some compensation from the club he joins. It's like Richard Eckersley's move to Burnley three years ago. That was settled at a tribunal about six months after the transfer took place. Couldn't disagree more. Pogba aside, such departures are incredibly commonplace and don't indicate any problem at all. For Norwood and James, see Eagles, Martin and countless others. And we all know Morrison's departure was a special case and at our behest.Just dropping that in here, if Zeki, Pogba, Norwood all leave and you add in Matty James and Morrison leaving then we're not doing something right when SAF has talked about us having to bring players through.
Real shame. He looked very very good at Coventry.Yeah, he said on twitter he will not be resigning and will look for a team at championship level, that will give him more playing time.
they got Martin Kelly in the Euro squad.Exactly. How many teams can say they produce as many players as we do, considering the standard they have to reach here is that much higher than almost everywhere else. The likes of Liverpool haven't brought through even one player as good as Evans in years.
Not really, never going to make it here. Great technique etc but his pace etc was always going to stop himReal shame. He looked very very good at Coventry.
This. He always reminds me of Stephen McPhail. Great passer of the ball, but his overall game isn't good enough to make it at the top level. Not really, never going to make it here. Great technique etc but his pace etc was always going to stop him
Good comparison although McPhail imo would be the superior talent if injuries didnt kill him early...This. He always reminds me of Stephen McPhail. Great passer of the ball, but his overall game isn't good enough to make it at the top level.
Hopefully he will get a top-half Championship club and have a good career.
Fair enough. I liked what I saw.Not really, never going to make it here. Great technique etc but his pace etc was always going to stop him
Ah yeah dont get me wrong, I wasnt dismissing his ability, some of his displays for us were fantastic to watch. He even morphed into Scholes for a very brief period of about 2 matches last year. His long distance passing was immense. Type of player that might do well abroad actually.Fair enough. I liked what I saw.
Be nice to see him go and do well. Like him.Ah yeah dont get me wrong, I wasnt dismissing his ability, some of his displays for us were fantastic to watch. Eurrrgh Ravel wasn't sold because we couldn't agree a deal though, we offered a derisory deal to protect compensation and then got rid.
Ravel is too dumb to be successful. Good job we got rid.How many English players have been allowed to leave the club which later has been regretted?
I can think of plenty of foreign lads like Pique or Rossi, but I can't think of any English ones. Lots of good Premiership-class talent like Eagles or Foster or Richardson or Frazier Campbell, but no one the club absolutely screwed up with like Bayern did with Mats Hummels.
Ravel Morrison may become that player, but decisions have to be made on the margin and right now there was no way Ravel could stay at the club.
What's the rule, that 18 year olds can only sign 3 year contracts? He's only 19, so if that's right he can't be at the end of a contract already.Well what choice did we have with Zeki? This time last year he was coming off a campaign where he'd hardly played due to injury, no-one was going to buy him for any sort of decent fee at that stage.
Do you reckon Blackett will be in the first team squad next season as Fábio and Fryers are both leaving?Blackett looks special - but a bit Ferdinand-eque (lack of concentration) - Fryers never looked special at that age.
What makes Blackett special is that he has pace, strength, height and a thunderous shot with his left foot.
