I thought he was our best attacking player tonight. Our every good attack(rare) came after Nani's good work. He had his better games, but he wasn't poor at all.

rooney and nani were suffocated upfront, we only played better when Welbeck came on.

Agreed, we did nothing of note in attack but every time Nani got the ball he looked capable of hurting them. That alone was more than everyone else. I thought it was pretty stupid to take him off as well, we all know that Nani is one of those players who can create something out of nothing. Would have been better taking off a defender and really going for it. Too late now though.

To be honest I just can't comprehend why he wasn't played on the left with Valencia on the right. The only reason I can think of is because he has a good record against Clichy, but surely that's not enough, surely?
It isn't. And was fecking ages ago as well.

Not sure quite why, but I have a gut feeling that Nani could be on his way out this summer if we can pick up a juicy enough fee for him. If someone came in with £35m or so for him I could see us letting him go.

Otherwise it seems hard to justify our interest in the likes of Hazard.

Yeah that's why he is in new contract talks with us.

Really? Hadn't heard that yet
"My agent is negotiating with the club on a new deal and things are going very well," he told The Mail.

"I hope at the end of the season an agreement will be reached. Manchester United is my home."
So let's not even bother to speculate about it.

Hmm fair enough, good to hear it too. Still reckon there will be a surprise departure this summer. Perhaps Evra...

The Clockwork Orange tulip technician.
If Fergie says he wants a quicker, more dynamic attack next season and then goes on to sell Nani, he wants his head checking. He's brilliant and should be starting every game for us. Still think he's underrated by many on here and in general. He's got everything and is improving his creative passing all the time too.

Be nice to see him dish a few bollockings out to Rooney at some stage

Not a chance. Sell our 2nd best player when he wants to say? We may be broke but we're not fecking daft.

If Young is on 120k a week then Nani should be on 150k a week! Rumors are that the new contract is 130k.

With Rooney's performances always fluctuating, would it be fair to say that Nani is our best attacking player? I think so.

Think he is undoubtedly our most dangerous player. For me as i have said before i just don't see him as a winger, being stuck out on the touchline affects his consitency for me. I think all his strengths are much better suited to a wide forward position playing much closer to the penalty box, where he can be more of a goal threat and cause regular havoc.

When TC and Ando played earlier in the season, they carried the ball so far forward that Nani regularly recieved the ball almost on the edge of the box, and his form in those few games was as good as i have seen it. Goals and assists galore in only a handful of games. After TC and Ando broke down, it was back to the less consistent and less effective displays because he was once again isolated on the touchline.

If SAF sorts himself out and buys a DM to play alongside Carrick we can go 4-3-3 or 4-2-3-1, and Nani will be able to play a more involved role much better suited to him imo. Then at last we will see the real Nani i believe.

Our wide players must have amazing fitness to be able to track back the way they do and still contribute a lot going forward.

Ahhh.

So this is where the papers pick this bullshit up from.

I don't see how you can say Rooney's performances are always fluctuating and not say the same about Nani, throughout October and November he was consistently underwhelming besides one or two games.

Aslong as he can stay injury free next year i reckon he will have his best ever season and finally cement his place up there with some of the best players in the world. Infact I reckon he will have a massive effect on Portugal's chances at the euros.

I think his creativity has improved this season. Some of the passing I've seen from him, don't think he was capable of that. Also, I'm pretty sure he has got less selfish and his one-on-one finishing is actually quite good. Nearly all of his finished are well composed.

Problem for Portugal though is that apart from Nani and Ronaldo, the rest of them are fecking halfwits.

I'm probably his biggest fanboy on here but nah, can't go that far myself. I do think on form Nani is our most dangerous player, nobody else has his unpredictability, dribbling skills or shooting range, and his finishing has gotten excellent, but this season Rooney's form hasn't been 'fluctuating', he has 31 goals or something, Nani's form has fluctuated far more.

I hope Nani can stay injury free next season, I remember the poll Hectic made a while ago about who is the more talented of the 2 and I recall Nani winning it, which I agree with. If he does become consistent again like last season, and continue to improve, then he can be unreal.

I have the feeling he has been underused this season.

I can never quite fathom playing Young, or anyone for that matter, in front of him.

Same in the CL final, amazed that he didn't start and when he eventually came on we looked much more of an attacking threat.

I would be devastated if he did leave, but it is clearly shit stirring, which I thought wasn't allowed.

I also have no fecking idea why Young gets played ahead of him. Far inferior player.

Absolute tripe. Young is on par if not better as a whole round player than Nani IMHO. To say he is a far inferior is bias and disrespectful to the player and our manager.

I wouldn't say Nani is far better but he is definitely better imo. I reckon when everyone is fit, barring someone being in particularly good form, after Rooney, Nani is next on the team sheet in terms of the attack.

Young isn't in the same league as Nani.
