This still isnt dead for me, the whole thing cries of twitter rumour-mill!

I think everybody is just jumping on the bandwagon so they dont look like they didnt get the story.

Just wait till you see david gill and fergie in a brand new black audi waiting for hazard at arrivals

So he's off to Chelsea then? I remember saying somewhere in this thread before all the "I'll tell you after my match who I'll pick" shite, that he looks like a guy who likes money, and it seems I was right.and guaranteed playing time I suppose.

Edit: False alarm, I read the BBC page wrong!

Why doesn't the team that is signing him just announce it themselves rather than waiting for him to tweet it?

I usually fly to London as well when visiting Old Trafford.

That's exactly why we aren't signing him, United would never stand for this from a potential signing and we would wait until we are ready to announce the deal. At the end of the day United > than any ego / player

We should bid for Juan Mata, if Hazard has been promised the number 10 and regular playing time then surely Mata is being bumped.
If Hazard does indeed go there, it'd make for an interesting 1-2 in that midfield with Mata...Juan is a fantastic teammate, with very little ego...If anything, too little ego perhaps...He won't challenge an alpha player like Eden for the limelight and would happily play a dangerous #2

But, considering it's the Premiership, I'm not sure both could play together due to the defensive responsibilities demanded...Hence, I could see Mata not starting all the time, which would definitely unsettle Mata...Unless they play him out wide left as a winger which is not his best position

It's like one of those Top Gear challenges - Gill's train versus Roman's yacht.

Chelsea are 1/2 and we are 6/4. Money now being put on us it seems.

Was there an announcement I missed regarding the removal of images?

Logically, Chelsea is probably his best choice. He'll get excellent money, and he is guaranteed to play. He'd be rotated more at United and City. At Chelsea, he becomes their number one player straight away. Plus, the fact that they just won the CL would be a big bonus.

I'd much prefer if he went to Chelsea than City anyway.

Quite a few of us have mentioned it of late. There was an announcement, albeit for a few seconds, though there was a minor issue with it. It'll be up later.

Is anyone at all inclined to provide a summary of where we're at? What's happened, what's official, what's rumour what's lies etc? That would be much appreciated!
  • Official: Hazard said on Twitter he's made up his mind (could be about what to have for fecking dinner to be honest)
  • Official-ish: "Realiable journalist" says there's an announcement at 5pm
  • Unofficial: French papers last weekend said his agent was in London doing some contract negotiations, but that didn't mean United were out of the running.
  • Official muppet: Saha tweeted about Hazard going to Chelsea, but he's just muppeting like us
  • Muppet: Somewhat reliable Twitter journalists saying they think he's off to Chelsea
  • Muppet: Sky Bet odds plummet on Chelsea signing him. Means nothing because the odds are based on the influx of bets from people following the same rumours as us.
  • Lie: he's flying into London for a medical.

Pretty sure Roman's yacht has onboard missiles or an unmanned drone or something. Gill's train won't make it.
Hopefully once FFP kicks-in, the Glazers will provide Gill with coal for the train.

Yeah it makes a lot of sense for him to go there and I'm sure he'll see it the same way.

So bascially, no-one knows where he's off to.

I'll come back tomorrow, thanks mate.

Skybet's transfer market is amazing, they must make an absolute fortune off it. For most of the markets they put up they don't have to pay out a penny because they hardly ever offer odds on a player to stay with his club.

At least Scholes and Giggs had signed a 1 year contract.
